E3 2008, Comic Con '08, & the Leipzig Convention have shown us the full detail, gameplay, graphics, etc. about the latest wrestling games ever to come to stores near you. One represents WWE and its many years of promoting matches, PPV, professional wrestlers, etc.; The other represents a new breed of wrestling that "Crosses the Line". Both are waiting for you, gamers, so which of these would you rather buy?

Well, wrestling games for Nintendo consoles are apparently garbage now, what with the stupid motion sensing gameplay, and I'm not really interested in Impact so I'd have to say neither.

Maybe if they were to release a Day of Reckoning 3 with the original gameplay intact or maybe if they would get AKI to make another game, then I would think about buying another wrestling game.

My favorite is Smackdown Shut Your Mouth for PS2. It had the best create wrestler mode ever. I was able to create most the legends, japanese, and Mexican Superstars. Ever since this game the CAW mode has gone down hill every game.

I'm gonna go with TNA just to see how it is

day of reckoning is pretty much a smoother and more defined version of no mercy, sans edit mode.

no it was not no mercy had the best create a character mode in all of wrestling games

the game play was smooth and easy to get a hang of the story mode was great and entertaining

and it kept u wanting to keep playing it day of reckoning's story mode was not good there create a character mode was limited

the only thing i give props for was game play

So far i like FPR more than any other wrestling game out there right now, i'll try tna out to see what its like

What made No Mercy so super-awesome-fantastic was that the controls were easy, the create-a-wrestler was well-made and easy to use for its time, and the story mode was, and is to this day, simply the best.  Day of Reckoning, and its sequel, had good controls but the CAW mode was a little tedious and the story mode was... okay.

to me personaly, wrestling games are just a waste of money. last wrestling games that came out i just went over to the blockbuster store rented it and passed it in the 3 days i had it. then took it back. so why even buy a game that you pass in a couple of days and the stupid storyline is the same. it gets boring.

same here, i still have my N64 no mercy game. my brother got up to "smackdown shut your mouth" then got smart about it and decided not to buy another wrestling game after he finally got it and realize that it was the same game but with different characters.
