i don't think i told you how much i love this char. i find myself using him the most, he has the coolest cool factor. . . i ripped thor and punisher apart last night, and my nephew is a beast with thor, i'ma start posting vids, we be having epic battles.

If you notice I kept this WIP topic open . WHY ? Because we aren't done with him yet

There will be more to come for Wolvenom in the future . Everyone seemed to want more symbiote moves , so I will be spriting some more of those . Plus the other hyper still needs to be added

Now that I'm done with re-arranging my mugen characters, I now finally have time to comment on your character. Firstly Symbiote:X aka Wolvenom is an all around great character. Playing with him his fun and really makes the user feel like their playing as Wolvenom instead of a another wolverine edit.
One of the few issues I do have with this character is his AI. His AI has a habit of staying still for a period of time before attacking. I would rather have Wolvenom rampaging across the screen at all times giving me very little time to counter attack. Another issue with his AI is that he seems to easy compared to other mugen characters, but like you said your still not finished with him.
Aside from his AI, it would be nice to see more tendril or spike attacks when he's attacking or doing a special. When Wolvenom does a counter block he pushes the opposing character away, I was thinking you could replace the block push with a blocking counter tendril attack (kind of like Spiderman in Web of shadows when he counter blocks in his symbiote suit). I also had this interesting idea of Wolvenom doing a long range grappling attack where he shoots a web or tendril across the screen onto the opposing character, pulls himself towards them and plunges his claws into the opponets body and ripping them out (and probably having the user now being able to some type of combo after it or Wolvenom just knocking them back after ripping his claws out).
I was also wondering do you intend to include a rage mode and a healing ability special or a slow automatic healing factor? When the symbiote took over wolverine it gave him an advance healing factor, and I'm suggesting the rage mode because every Wolverine video game has Wolverine with some type of rage/berserker mode or attack.
Sorry for the long post, but i've been meaning to post something like this for a while (couldn't because i've been re-arranging my mugen).

He has a counter attack with symbiote spikes . Check out the read me .

I agree his AI is not the best . With all the moves he has , counters & hopping through projectiles he should be a beast . But when I put him in watch mode . I can pretty much know he will lose against most characters .

I'll wait until Kong gets back & have him make some AI for him .

He may be unbeatable then

I like the idea with the web & pulling them towards him . I'm going to use that .

This is the most anticiapated character I"ve eve played with. So flawless and awesome! Wolvenom can't even be describe in any words possible.

So how is the progress on wolvenom going? The last time I posted here you said you weren't completely finished with him. If you still need ideas I'm more than glad to offer up some suggestions.

Here is a quick of edit of Wolvenom I did in my spare time showing a bit of a bulkier version of him.

It's summertime . Progress is always slow on my characters when summer hits . If you notice I started working on Wolvenom around November & released him for spring. I do work on mugen characters when I am at work , though .

As for your edit , it's pretty cool . But that Spider would have to go . I didn't use the spider for many reasons . It seems the way you resized it , changed the pixels . He looks pretty jagged . See if you can fix that .

The 3rd sprite is also my favorite. It was a bit of a pain to figure out how I would recreate the first wolvenom I saw in the comics but it was fun in the end. In retrospec, I fear that we may have strayed off topic so .... maybe the next time i post here i'll make DARKTALBAIN'S version of wolvenom performing a move he doesn't have (of course it will be a sprite).

The first sprite I made with the spider on his chest was my very first attempt at sprite editing and a lazy one at that. I made it to see if it would be neat to have a more venom like wolverine (because venom is always seen as a bulky behomth). The second sprite I made was to see what wolvenom would actually look like (adding the should pads, the stripes on the ribs, removing the spider on his chest, etc). The last sprite was just for fun and to see if if i could make wolvenom look like the one in the picture i posted ( I was close but not really). But like I said, the next sprite edit I do of wolvenom will be him doing a move he doesn't currently have.

I mean , I like the way the last sprite looks . You did a pretty good job of making it look like he does in that issue . My problem is , I just didn't like when they drew him that way . I look forward to seeing your new move also . BTW did you get my PM ?
