The Best Video Game Console on the Market

I can tell that these current generation of video game consoles are all the rage. When I walk around my neighborhood and farther, I hear talks about the consoles mentioned in the polls. Now is the time to let us know of your opinions about the current generation consoles.

A Wii, mostly cuz I have one.

But The PS3 is the powerhouse of them all.

XBOX360 will definitely win.... I mean... PS3 is actually losing their exclusive games, because they are all going to the 360... Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid 4 are coming out on the XBOX360! So... the PS3 is definitely going to lose its market, because most of its exclusives aren't exclusices anymore... I can't see the PS3 doing any good within the next few years... because really... I don't think the PS3 is going to last for even another 5 months...

They CANT PORT the game, they would have to change a LOT of the code. Would they really go through all the trouble to switch the iPod with a Zune.

The iPod in the game is the huge reason why MGS4 isnt going to the 360, just get over it Fanboys!!

All I read was that it was still a rumor and people are still waiting so maybe or maybe not. And wouldn't it be announced at E3 or at least be on ign.

But I still have my vote on the PS3 because it has the best technology. Blu-ray = Longer/better games.

- Sixaxis motion control.
- Media power house(supports tons of file types).
- Blu-Ray DVD's.
- 60 and 80GB versions of the NTSC PS3 support PS2 and ps1 games.
- 20 and 40GB versions support ps1 games depending on the region of the PS3.
- Web browser(6 windows max) with flash 7.
- supports up to seven controllers.
- Multiple processors for video games to allow better effects.
- Scales DVD's up to 1080P if you have a HD compatible TV and cable(HDMI for example).
- Your own music can be played depending if the game supports it.
- In-game XMB.
- Online play is free.
- Rumble in the latest PS3 lineup with dualshock 3.
- Supports Bluetooth.
- 2.5 laptop HDD is replaceable.

PS3: The Bad
- Does not support PS2 Backwards compatibility depending on the model you buy.
- PS2 and PS1 games are jaggy(not if you set the smooth option when you press the PS button).
- Expensive compared to the 360 but the PS3 has Blu-Ray which is a new technology.

Don't forget that any game released both on the 360 and PS3 looks better and sometimes has more content. Ex: GTA4, DMC4, Assasin's Creed. And free online doesn't hurt to add to the list.

MGS4 should happen on the Wii. I mean, Snake WAS featured in Brawl..

I choose the Wii, though. I like it over the other two. The PS3's design looks horrible, and the 360 is kinda just another Xbox.

I believe it`s the wii:
The less expensive of the three,has some of the biggest hits in the game industry so far(PBR,Super Mario Galaxy,Brawl...did i mention brawl previously??),and it`s the only one of the three that innovates with its controller
Nintendo has always dominated the portable consoles market with the Gameboys and the DS,and now it`s the wii the one who is dominating the big console war
Btw,Ds and wii are compatible,and you can use both consoles to play with them...i don`t believe PSP and PS3 can be synched or something like that

MGS4 should happen on the Wii.

This will not happen. As a developer would not remake a whole 1080P game into 480P as it will take a ton of time and resources, not to mention you would have 2-3 dvds of content at least. The Wii is meant to be for non-hardcore gamers. The Wii may get the award for the smallest nextgen console but it is not powerful.

@KPT: The PS3 does that, lookup PSP remote play.

I've been reading a lot lately (suprising... I know...  )... Here are my results of the best, & most recent, video game systems:

#1 - XBOX360
#2 - Playstation 3
#3 - Nintendo Wii
#4 - PSP
#5 - Nintendo DS

XBOX360 is in lead, obviously, because of all the money that the company has generated. There are a lot of games that are more entertaining on the 360 than on the PS3. This is also due to their 'at-times exclusives' (meaning there are rarely any of them, but they are really good)... an example would be Dead Rising as an XBOX360 'exclusive'.

Playstation 3 is already going down in the market, because of the company putting the price of the console system way too low. The Playstation 3 (already!) is to be rumored to be taken off of shelves within the next year due to low consumer response and rarely any new exclusives. (Do not settle this argument with me here, if you have one... please PM me if you wish to argue...)

Also, Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming for the XBOX360... it is not only rumored... but is already in production... Am I saying that it will be better than the PS3 version? Most likely not, because the PS3 can hold way more memory, and etc., which is why I am expecting at least 2 game discs for the 360 version...

Blu-Ray is the only thing saving the PS3 ...it's the only reason I bought mine..If a decent stand alone player with all the up to date features is released, I will sell this piece of sh*t

its games are sub-par and if were MultiPlatform no one would talk about them..the only reason they get any hype is because they are exclusive

and Blu-Ray=does not equal better and longer games ......   Blu-Ray=Mandatory installs

and bragging about XMB in PS3 is stupid..PS3 just got that, when 360 has had it since 2005
