Soul Calibur IV is amazing

I stayed up all last night playing this game on 360 . Buy it as soon as you can , it's well worth the money .

Yoda is pretty bad @$$ . The graphics on this game are spectacular .

I remember reading in Game Informer that Vader will be available for download for the 360 and Yoda for PS3.

I'm so jealous, mine is pre-ordered on PS3 from play, it's not released until this friday in England plus the special edition doesn't have a t-shirt and the "artbook" I read about is a sodding DVD. Decided not to bother and just get standard version instead. Hopefully play will deliver it early as they sometimes do..

I'm thinking there will be a few star wars chars for download in the futere hopefully, Darth maul will be.
I've heard that there will definately be downloadable content so I don't see why not. Roll on Friday!!!

Yeah i got to play sc4 its great gameplay wise but slower in speed when compared with sc3 animation wise. I dont like how namco got alittle lazy with this version the only thing interesting is the gamplay and char creation everything else is boring or not planned out enough like lack of something plus the new chars are useless clones waste of space. The only new chars are hilde,vader, apprentice and yoda(dl contents wise for yoda on ps3)

I feel for you, I honestly do, I like yoda in the movies but I hate characters that aren't in proportion with others in a game, such as gon in Tekken 3.

Remeber you get both yoda and darth vader on both consoles due to dl content. Also the char creation is a whole lot better then in sc3 but the only set back is that you have to use the original chars set moves like taki, mitsurugi and such

Hmm to me the game feels like it's missing something, a soul 

Story mode has always been a big thing with SC and this game really fails to deliver in this aspect. For example in SC3 it would explain why your character was there fighting that person.

Another big thing with SC is the weapons. In this game you don't pick your weapons, you have a set weapon for that character and the only way to change is to make another of that character. All that hassle when it could have been done with a little select bar like in the other games. It annoys me when I want to see Ivy use the Soul Calibur and not say her Kaleidoscope.

Which leads me on to another thing.....IVY!! She was always my favourite character and she just feel so different in this game. her 3 stances are not really interchangeable and don't flow as well as SC1-3.

And then there's that blank spot on the roster for Vader/Yoda for DLC. It's really annoying when you buy a game and you have to pay to fill in a blank spot. Games don't come complete any more it seems. You need to buy DLC in order to get a complete game.

Now don't get me wrong, I do love this game, but it just doesn't live up to the hype and to other Soul Calibur games.

True your correct man this time around they just focused on game play and balance thats it. Also your correct on ivy it also applies to all the other chars to they changed them up moveset wise and gamplay wise for the sake of balance
