immortality? it means you will still get old, but cant die , and after many years.... you cant even walk anymore.... if your head chopped off... you cant put it back anymore... you're going to a lot of pain... so its not a good idea having immortality dudes

Actually you wouldn't. In the movie hancock Will Smith plays as an immortal, he's like 3000 years old. However he would only become mortal if he was paired with his other.

My idea of what true immortality is, your body's cells reproduce at a rapid pace, enough to keep you from aging, and something in the body would make the molecules so dense that you can't feel pain.

Odd; I was thinking about this at work last night.

Alright, I would play this smart. First things first, I would come up with about a hundred things I want, and I would write them down on a piece of paper, about like this:

1) I will have all of the powers of the DC comics character Superman, with none of the drawbacks, weaknesses or shortcomings as I would understand them.
2) I will have the ability to read the thoughts and emiotions of those around me.
3) Dossiers containing irrefutable, legallay actionable evidence of every crime and wrong-doing of every right-wing political, social, military, economic and religious leader on Earth will be delivered in one moment to every news reporter and law enforcement official on Earth.
4) Everyone on Earth will lose interest in religion in all of its forms and take an active interest in more rational philosophies.
5) All American soldiers, military and civilian contractors, and mercenaries of all kinds will be instantly and harmlessly transported  back to their home countries, along with any military hardware and ammunition they may have there.

Etc, etc.

After I write out the hundred or so things I want on that sheet of paper, I would then hold up this list and say, as my first wish "I wish for all of the conditions listed on this sheet of paper to be realized in precisely the manner and spirit in which I intend them."

I would then sit on my other two wishes in the event that new stuff comes up later on.

You know why I wouldn't want immortality? Eventually the sun will go cold and dark, and all life will cease in the solar system. The thought of being alive forever, and forever alone and freezing cold on a cold crypt of a world with nothing to keep me company for all of eternity but bitter memories of the world that was and self-loathing for ever having wished for this living hell forever would suck.

I might wish "I wish to be immortal unless I specifically and consciously wish to be otherwise".

Wishes have a way of backfiring if you're not careful and specific, you know?
