The Tetsu Paradox
« on: August 22, 2007, 01:29:51 AM »
What is up with so many people using Tetsu? Furthermore, what is so interesting about editing him? Is he that easy to use or something? Ive got him and ive fought him before, but ive never played with him. Ive seen a 10000000000000000000000000000000000000 videos of him and about the same number of people making Dark Evil Super Holy Orochi Mega Supreme Tetsu/Storm's. Im just trying to understand why so many people like him.

I like him but he seems to be over-hyped. Dont know where he originated from but seems like the usual SF rip to me. I have Tetsu, Tetsu Yatogi & Quiet Storm & Ghost Tetsu.

It may just be the similarity to SF or not. That would be my reason though. His specials/commands are so similar yet different. Oxymoron- I know.

He's from a game called Fighter Maker.

At the topic at hand... I don't know why. I rarely use him, but he's fun to play as. I just feel cheap when I use him though.

Fighter Maker is s 3D fighting game creator. Tetsu came from something else.

I like Tetsu, but not too interested in making any real edits to him.

Also, how many posts will it be before Lego joins in and says how much he loathes Tetsu?
Punctuation and capitalization can make the difference between "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse," and, "I helped my uncle jack off a horse."

92% of people have moved onto rap. If you're part of the 8% who thinks rap isn't music, sucks to be you.

Most newer stuff sucks, though.

Yes...XCB made him very well and easy to use...besides experienced players will find more space for nasty combos...specially with his kicka$$ ultimate move...
EDIT:the diff is that on vyn`s evil ryu,the AI does the combo(not easy for humans)
Tetsu is much more simpler to make those combos...

no.. I'm talking 100 hit combos, and not just in training mode. His super bar fills while youre doing the combos which gives you more opportunities to pull off more hits! And he's not broken like Reu's chars. Tetsu can actually be hit while he's attempting to catch you with a super.

Tetsu even has a palette with the colors of the cover of his game...:P

Yeah but it would be weird to have another KY character that isnt XCB style :-\ (and when I say XCB style I mean Diologue at the end, a certain hyper BG EX moves good ai etc etc.)

From what I understand, if you tried to make a character from that game, youd probably want to do a good job proving that you did all the rip work yourself. Otherwise, your going to be called a thief and all that.

anybody else noticed how everyone missed the part where you create your own character? i mean think about you make the character, rip the sprites and make the character for mugen. well that's how i see it, it would be cool to do that with other games that you can create characters with.

Travis was the name of a chracter mentioned in Tetsu's story in the files...
If XBC was planning on making Travis look like that blond guy, well then we probly wont see him cuz as far as i understand he isnt arround anymore making stuf. Becides, it came from a game were you make the fighters yourself, who's to say that the developers wanted that character named Travis.

Well if you make one of the two characters that havnt been made yet then who can call you a thief.
If you can get a hold of the rom (or even the actual game) and make one of those 2, no one can call you a thief.
