Here is the second beta from robin, we release him today because he was leaked by accident 8=|
so what is new:
1. new stance thanks to excursion
2. now a 6 buttons character
3. so two new attacks :-[
4. new design (belt, abdos, shading on boots, cape,...), a lot of sprites redone.
5. new helpers, beast boy, raven.
6. new intros and endings: batmobile, spoiler, batman, starfire,...
7. new batarangs, smoke bombs,...
8. new sprites



what is missing: some bugs corrected, some helpers, just go in the wip section, you will find them, one hyper and the pallettes.

No No you have it all wrong he was accidently leaked and people were trading him so that why we released him, but this aint the finished creation.

Yes PLEASE keep in mind, I have not recoded, or fixed any bugs since last release. Much will be done when the character is officially released in JULY!

Feedback:

- His punches do not combo.
- His HK is very intermittent. It connects sometimes and other times it does not.
- CLSN boxes need an over haul. You should take a look at the CLSN tutorial by Kitsune Sniper and Duece hosted at Vinny J's site here: http://vincej.piiym-net.com/kof-debug-clsn-tutorial-by-kitsune-sniper-deuce/ It's a tutorial for specifically KOF but it will help you nonetheless understand the importance of CLSN box alignments.
- Some of the basic attack's (punches and kicks) sprites are misaligned. Usually a good clue that they are not flowing together is the placement of the feet when a character attacks. If the foot jumps around the floor, it means the sprites have not been aligned. This chart is a reference for the required sprites, but the placement of them is basic for the rest of the sprites:



Fighter Factory has a set of guidelines (literally) which can be found under the Show>Guidelines menu within Fighter Factory. Those blue lines are essential when aligning the sprite's feet placement during attacks. They have saved me countless hours of extra aligning. I suggest using them for Robin.
- You are missing a set of required animations (sprite set 5300).
- The dash-back animation needs some work. Either animate it higher, or change it. It is almost out of place as a dash-back move. That's my opinion though... you guys may not really mind it.  :-??
- Clean up the rar file. Remove the extra .pcx files and all the backup files (.BAK) and include only the usual required files (readme, sff, cns, air, etc.) if for any reason, to reduce the download size and rename all the files (e.g. act files... hayato.act?) to the same thing... like robin.sff, robin.cns, robin.act, ect.

Once you guys clean this up, then the real feedback about the feel of the character and interaction with other characters can begin. Tweaking is a never ending battle.  @^@ Good luck Team Spoiler  :)

Thanx that will speed up the bug finding process, I would also add that all the animations are ligned up off target, and a several sprites need touched up, and the Raven/Cyborg helper tends to kind of hover. Other than that I think you found 90% of the items Im working on.

Feedback -

Clns boxes were already stated need over haul....

sometimes he gets stuck in the air lol

and he does supers with out any energy the staff one definitely....

other than that very nice the standing stace is alot better but still needs some tweaking


good job and good luck i like where this is heading great job  :)

Yea, definitely need to fix the thing about Robin not needing any meters to do some hypers. The computer abuses it a lot and it becomes pretty cheap IMO. Hal Jordan has the same problem with his knight on a horse hyper.

Oh, and not sure if it's been fixed or not, but his tease makes him invincible. He can not be hit period when he does it. :|

The weird thing is all the meters are there. The only I can think is its doing them on certain variables. There isnt any missing code though.
