Reading the article quickly, yes it is coming out on the Wii. It also explains about how the controls will be setup to match the controllers for the Wii. There's no mistaking, Wii owners are lucky

Well, I'm sure it'll come out to other countries as well at a later date. Look at Wii Fit, that was out in Japan for awhile before they brought it here to the States. It'll be a bad move NOT to bring games that come out in Japan to other countries.

I have never even heard of The Jump! before, and NamcoXCapcom isnt really that big. I was talking about Marvel vs Capcom, Xmen vs Street Fighter, etc. This is obviously going to be a big game, you really think it wont make its way to the US?

true but i still don't get jump not being released here. its one of the best ds games, but its not a cross over. just the most popular shonen jump characters fighting each other like in smash bros.

As I understand it, Capcom would LOVE to release this game in the US, but legal stuff is preventing it.

Basically, Tatsunoko's characters have been around for years, and in that time, many different companies have paid them to get the rights to bring their characters to American audiences. It's no problem to release this game in Japan, as Tatsunoko still owns all the rights to their characters there. If Capcom is to bring this game to the US however, they would need permission from each and every one of those companies who own the rights to each particular series, and those companies aren't about to do that for free.
So yeah, there's a good chance this game won't come out in the US.
