How things have changed.
« on: May 13, 2008, 01:19:46 AM »
It's been over a year for me here and I've seen many a change. From new staff, to new promotions, to new changes in the mugen community as a whole. I guess I'm feeling like time sure makes things look different. Not many of the ones I knew coming in to mugen have frequented as much. Many new members have appeared and a completely new forum. Others[members] have up and left altogether. What surprises lie ahead...I wonder...

Thanks DG!

I'm just pondering all the new changes and how it's just now sinking in. My mugen customization has definitely winded down although my Infinity forum involvement has increased. It's actually pretty funny I find myself going on the forum to see what up with everyone and then logging off and not messing with my mugen. Although portrait making has found a new home in me ;*)).

Thanks DG!

Change is good. I myself hardly play much. Priorities change with time, but not all change is bad. What makes each person "fear" change is the unknown and although that's understandable, it should be realized that without change, things would be the same old same old.

Just as your habits have changed from when you 1st discovered MUGEN, from playing it every day to hardly, Infinity has to change or else we would have lost half the initial members in the 1st week. Does any of this make sense?

I'm getting the same way, hitting and sometimes even just trolling the forums, but then not messing with my Mugen build. I think with Mugen, unless you're involved in creating something you hit your high points and low points, like a wave.

The sad thing is that mugen community goes up and down always has always will when some new breath of fresh air mabey a new game or group of characters come out well see a influx of new members to the community as old ones leave some return some never do but this is the choice of all people to choose your hobbies and as technology grows ever more effiecent mugen looks nostalgic but since its a 100% customizable it can never be but heres a toast to the future and amazing to me all the characters I wanted are being released at times I never thought it would be I still wonder what ever happened to the Red Skull I so wanted him

same here guys, i used to play around with it alot but now i don't as much, i'm too busy trying to make stuff for people, but i really take joy into doin all of that, i mean guys i have a nephew thats about 10 years old, whenever i edit something or make a cool new move and i show it to him, his eyes just light up and its just so exciting to to see how he reacts and how much of he enjoys it, and i get the same thing from other people, so i guess what drives me is other people... i'll admit alot of times i do it because i just want to, but its more for the thrill of other people enjoying it as well as me...... Me, i have known about mugen for years but i have been here on infinity for like 1 year... and guys i luv this site, and i'd do anything for it... I hope it never goes away.... The creators here r friendly, you guys giv back good feedback, (The kind that actually is polite but still helps, not the kind that makes the author want to choke you lol ;*)) and the administators r very fair, helpful and understanding).... I wasn't here whenever the bad stuff happened.... But dude i tell you what, infinity is growing again in my opinion.... i think that others will see this vison just like i do someday... And as for me... this is my mugen home, and only this site will get what i make or edit... and thats that..... ;D

Yep nutpatch i feel exactly how you feel, dude they did me the same way at mugen guild because i asked them to back off of this guy because he called his edit a high res character and it really wasn't but it was the closest thing to something like a high res streetfighter character that you were gonna get at this time in mugen that was out already, (even though all he did was run it through a filter,so i guess thats why he called it that, but instead of helpin him out , they flamed him because he called it that and said all kind of bad and disrespectful stuff, i mean i was like man they r taking the freedom of opinion too damn far..... And then when i tried to tell them to chill out and tell them why he may have called it a high res they flamed me too and basically acted like they wanted to kill me \-/o... and i'm thinkin to myself this over a video game character :-??, like these guys r so crazy 8-}... I'm also like dude this would have never happened at infinity, like Excursion would have put a stop to all that drama with a snap of a finger ..... I mean it was like the some of the creators(Some, not all) there think that just cus they kno how to make things that they can say whatever to you instead of giving you back some good feedback in a respectable way so that you can make your work better....  And at infantry, i was disrespected by this guy there and when i got the mod on him, they simply said that i just have to deal with this certain guy because he is known for saying harsh things to people and i'm like what kind of crap is that :-??.... over at here at infinity Excursion and the other administrators don't play that at all [-X..... And did i mention the guy didn't giv any good and useful feedback, all he said was my work was a piece of crap(yep thats right yall, he said that to me and got away with it and like i didn't even kno him nor did i say anything to him to make him say that to me, he just randomly came by and just said it, and the administrator didn't do anything to him then the administrator had the nerve to get at me because i snapped on him, i'm like dude did you not see that he basically disrepected me and cussed me out.... I mean they let the people hide behind the freedom of opinion thing too much, i mean your opinion is one thing but clearly the guy was being disrepectful and whats wrong stating your opinion in a respectable and mature manner?  :-??... and as i recall in their rules  :rulez: they say that they have to giv back valid feedback and not to be vague...... but anyway, dude my point of talking about this is, Infinity rocks dude because we don't have to put up with crap like that here, and the administrators don't let stuff like that get out of hand..... They r fair and the kno when someone is abusing the rules... So thats why the race is here and only here to stay.....
