No but I can't stand the way it looks. It looks to cheesy and I can never get into a movie that looks like that

i`m actually pretty interested on how things will turn arround...the wachowski bros might pull out a great movie after the matrix probably...it premieres today(thursday)in here(Argentina),but i`m not gonna see it until probably next weekend,as i have a Chemistry test next friday that i have to pass in order to continue with my game plan for this term

That's how it's supposed to look like and I think it looks way better than the crap that Fast and Furious is.

Yeah it reminds me too much of the Flinstones, What an Irony to such a thing like the Mach 5.

I haven't seen this movie and don't plan on it. The previews on TV look bad. I saw a review in the local paper one and a half stars.

in a local newspaper,it got a review of "good"(less than the "very good" for Ironman last week)
I´ll wait some opinions on ppl who actually saw it before i go to the cinema,probably next weekend if i have the chance to

I haven't seen it, but I will say this, I know people who have and read on another forum I go to and people saw it there and they said it was pretty good. I don't know if that means much to anyone, but just trying to help on how some people view this movie.

I saw the movie with low expectations, and it BLEW ME OFF AWAY.

It was surprisingly faithful to its cheesy animated counterpart, and the things they did change fit really well. And since Speed Racer was Westernized to begin with, the actors chosen fit really well into their roles.

The only criticism I can think of is about the story. Yes, the show never had a plot to begin with, what with the only real story was about Racer X, but regardless it still could've ben developed more. The reviews I've seen from people just make my  so much until my hand is literally glued to my face. [rant] I mean, some of these so called "critics" fail to get the fact that Speed Racer IS ABOUT A BUNCH OF CARS RACING. HOW THE f**k CAN ANYONE NOT GET THAT? I MEAN, COME ON! IT'S JUST A BUNCH OF f**k*** CARS. [/rant]

I give it a solid 7/10. It may not be on par with other adapted movies, but it's still better than the god-awful Fast and the Furious series. (sorry Vin, you may be cool and all, but still. Ew, no.  )
