That's a pretty nice list. I have a few of those myself. (namely the Hydra, Gundam vs Zaku, and Sazabi)

For the Hyaku, I suggest you get the MG version instead. Much more enjoyable to build.

As for the Zeta, you should be very VERY careful when transforming it. (if you get it that is) The leg connectors are flimsy. If they do break (like mine did), have some superglue handy.

You should go for the 1/100 Nataku instead. The 1/144 kits were very lackluster. It's the same thing with the tallgeese. Get the 1/100 HG instead. Even comes with conversion parts. Sure the 1/144 comes with it too, but those were just added in last-minute, and the kit wasn't even that good to begin with. 1/100 all the way.

The HG Hi-Nu and Sazabi were spectacular, except I had more fun building the MG Sazabi. The Hi-Nu is nearly identical to it's MG counterpart, which is a plus and a good direction for Bandai to go in. It felt exactly like the MG Hi-Nu, minus the inner frame.

The GZ I have nothing to say about lol.

There are better kits to choose from, as well as better cheaper sites to find them from. For example, Hobbywave.com (shameless, shameless plug)

The reason I went with the 1/144 kits was because I heard that they were easier to build. Also I heard that the HGUC versions of Nu Gundam and Re-GZ were better than their MG versions since they are much newer and problems and inconveniences like screws and very small weapons were fixed.

Well of course the HG kits are easier. No inner frame to bother with. The screws are there with many kits. It's not so much of an nuisance when you actually build one with them.

Still, you should go with the 1/100 HG kits of some of those. Much better looking, and they're just a bigger 1/144 kit.

Go with the Hi-Nu, and get the Sazabi while you're at it.

I edited my list and decided to get their MG and 1/100 counterparts instead. I was planning to buy from hobbywave but I didn't see some model kits that I wanted.

Yay, my advice has finally been taken!  >:D

About the Crossbone VK....I have the X-1 FullCloth (it's the same thing as the Ver.Ka, it's just with some added parts. Even comes with conversion parts.) and I'm building it right now, but there's a problem. When building the hands, the thumb and index finger are ball-jointed, and the thumb fits fine in the socket, but the finger won't go in. (plastic looks like it might break now) I"m planning on just greasing it up so it goes in, but I don't really know. Oh, and the top part of the chest that swings up to show the cockpit wil get loose no matter what. Any suggestions for stupid f**k*** baljoints is appreciated. (a comment and a request, all in one!)

I heard the WG Ver.Ka was pretty good.

The only problem that I have with getting an 1/100 scale model kit is that I want all of my models to be the same scale so if I put them next to each other one won't look unrealistically larger than another and some mobile suits haven't been made in a 1/100 scale.

I still you should get an MG model though. If not for displaying, then get it for the challenge.

I think HG or MG are good for starters. Don't get FG models because they don't look good. I don't know what to say about Speed Grade models.

Thanks for reminding me about SEED. I added a few more models to my list. Just order model kits online like I'm doing.

I have a little problem. I think I need nippers and gundam markers for the model kits but hobbywave.com and gundamstoreandmore don't have them so either I have to order from Hobby Link Japan or  HobbySearch wihch sell nippers and gundam markers but ship items using the EMS which charges shipping depending on the weight of my order or order from hobbywave or gundam store or more which have flat rate shpping but don't have nippers meaning I would need another way to remove the pieces from the plastic thing.

HG are good for starters, MGs are WAAAAAAY different and require more concentration. To be honest, FGs and Speed grades are good to get the concept down, as well as good for displaying. (I literally have a crapton of FGs) The whole point of gunpla is to build and make it look as good as possible, which also includes FGs. (I hate when people hate on the FGs! lol)

Don't bother getting nippers and markers. Just head down to your local hobbyshop (you're in New York right? If you're in the NYC area, head down to the Image Anime store. Check it out. *shameless plug*) and buy some hobby pliers (same thing as nippers) and buy a rainbow of thin-tip sharpies (works just the same). Also, don't forget to buy putty. Chances are, you might accidentally cut into the piece you're cutting. ( I know it has happened for me.)

I feel like such a nerd right now. (my gundam obsession is good for something lol )

Thanks, I've been looking for a place in my area for pliers. They have model kits and markers too. ;D

heh, no problem. Just a little tip I picked up from a friend. Saves you a lot of money too. (lol, to be honest I used to think the hobby plies I have were tweezers.  :D)
