Medieval weapon of choice?
« on: April 13, 2008, 03:48:52 PM »
If I grew up in medieval times my weapon of choice would be the spiked ball mace. What would your weapon of choice be.
Examples: Broadsword, battle axe, double sided axe, ect.

Thanks DG!

Hmmm... I'd say a broadsword with a thick 4 foot long blade. (not too thick, though.)

 Classic Medieval Sword with Scabbard

This sword design is based off the classic Spanish example of edged weaponry circa 14th century.

Swords of this type were used heavily during the Crusades for close combat.

This large sword is 48 inches overall, with a 35 inch blade.  The blade is composed of zinc, which will not rust and never needs to be oiled.

The handle is polished metal with an ornate, curved handguard. This sword comes complete with a black leatherette scabbard.

Hey VKM!! Your video also showed a monster that's on almost all of the recent castlevania games (dos, por). Let's see if anyone can guess LOL >:-(-|

But I would wield the dragon slayer or sigfied's blade as well. Heck at 230 lbs, I can pick up just about anything!! LOL

See, I hate swords like that. I'm sorry, but I can't stand those types. They're big and heavy, and I wonder how in the world these characters are able to get them off their backs or out of their sheaths. Swords of that size are ridiculous in my opinion.

(no offense to characters such as Dante.)

I was thinking a sword like that too, only with a more wide and golden blade.

Alright, a sword like that is just way to outrageous to be used by someone normal, but around a 50 pound sword would do for me. That 50 pounds of cleaving action would just tear anything apart.
