Hideo Kojima is a sneaky and creative bastard. 

He teamed up with the AC team to use Desmond Miles' character model for Snake in order to show new MGS4 footage. And seeing as how April Fool's day was coming up, of course it was the most logical (and funniest) choice to release the footage on that day.

It was an april fools joke.
Somebody probably modded MGS4 with a Altair model (although it was edited to look like Old Snake in the Altair's outfit).
It's pretty much just like this.

it brings so many aspects to many fans that love the characters in a game they love and into another game they are a fan of

heck, theres even fanfiction of VG crossovers over at fanfiction.net

Awrite, unanimous so far...

My all time favorite crossover would be Kingdom Hearts tho. Unexpected at the time the first bits of info were released!! Now its one of the best selling Franchises all its own.


Crossovers to me, are examples that other companies and properties can just get along!! I'ts a small world after all!!

Dude, Crossovers = EPIC WIN!!!!

They're an excellent way to answer those oddball questions like "Who would win in a brawl: Sonic or Mario?" or "If Sigfreid and Darth Vader fought to the death, who would win?". It's also a good way to shake things up in the respective games, creating wild new possibilities that just make your head hurt.

I think its good. It shows an open mind on the creator/company part & its a good marketing ploy to attract different ppl to gaming/types of gaming.EX. Yoda & Darth Vader in SC4.
