why were'nt chun li and charlie shadow and shadow lady in MVC2 ?

will capcom ever make another fighting crossover like CAPCOM FIGHTING JAM but better and new fighting systems with infinite combos ?

I think Capcom was just lazy in remaking some characters sprites (ie. Ken) so they just used the SFA versions of the characters. Also some
games aren't numbered by chronological order.

MvC2 was just a cash-in game.

1) Spelling error that was not corrected for the english dub.

2) That Q thing was just a coincidence. He didn't even exist back when the game came out.

3) MvC2 was team based, so endings would make no sense for that many characters. That and there's a central story to the game. (Abyss)

4) Capcom re-used the latest SF sprites, which were from SFA, for the MvC series. Ken had his short hair because Sean was there (DUH), which would make it take place somewhere between SF2 and SF3. And Ryu always had his red headband ever since SFA2.

5) Story wise, Shadow is no more. And Shadow Lady was just a cyborg, so maybe it shut down or something. Actually, they were just pallate swaps to add more characters to the game.

Neither series takes place during SFA or SF2 or SF3, they just used the SFA sprites because they matched the style of the Marvel sprites, which equals lazyness. The same reason why the Vampire Savior characters didn't get new sprites, they already matched.
 
If you notice, there are no sercet-clone characters. By that I mean, no one is that that share sprites that didn't exist as a already selectable characters. The only expection to this rule is Roll, even though she was a secret character in MvC, he sprites are original. The two wolverines don't apply because of the Bone and Metal difference. So even though Shadow Lady had different moves, she already shared chun-li's sprites, just like Shadow shares sprites with Shadow. Same reason why there's no Armored Spiderman, U.S. Agent Cap, Mephisto Blackheart, Gold War Machine, Hyper Venom (it's Ain't Carnage, I don't care what anyone says), Orange Hulk, Lillith Morrigan, etc.

Yes. SF4 takes place before SF3.
They decided to do this because it opens a gateway to the veteran characters such as Guile, E.Honda, Dhalsim, Balrog/Bison, Sagat and many other characters who were in SF2 but didn't appear in SF3.
It is during this time Eliza is pregnant with Mel, Ken's son.
Chun-li is searching for survivors of Shadowloo, and so is Guile, which is the reason of the existence for the new character from Shadowloo.

"Capcom Marvel" games count Xmen: CotA and MSH.
