In terms of names, why not base it off the creators name,
"Strider EX or EX Strider"

Or just plain ol' Strider Hiryu will do.

It is because God Rugal is a powered up version of himself with a new look. Why name it something like Strider Ex or Super Strider, when all the character will be is Strider Hiryu? Now if he is gonna make new moves or something and it is gonna be different from your "basic" Strider Hiryu, then I see your point.

Theendgamelv3 is right, god rugal is a real character that appears in real full games, he has different moves than a normal rugal including level-up powers is logical the extension of "god" but in an normal strider with some possible diferent moves, you cant call him "god" of course unless he has different powers and level-up additions obviously. 

Anyway i think adding Ex its just fine, good luck on your wip EX!

Wow, taking a step into making characters! Good luck, and like what Leon said, you have to make a creation the way you want it, for it'll be easier to make it perfect that way (especially this being your first character and all).
