Always back up your stuff!
« on: August 20, 2007, 11:19:00 AM »
Man, I had crappy weekend >:( My installation of windows had somehow corrupted itself and died, then I had to wipe my hard drive clean and reinstall windows. I'm finally back up and running and putting the pieces back together......thank god I had everything backed up. This is a warning to everyone that you should always make back ups of all your stuff. No matter how well you take care of your computer, it can still crap out on you and leave you with nothing but a blank screen. Windows also just seems to eventually corrupt itself and needs to be reinstalled after a while.....although I think my computer caught a bad virus. So remember friends BACK UP YOUR STUFF or face the consequences.

Wow that sux. Yea I backed up my mugen stuff on my external HD. It would have to be a double whammy for me to lose my mugen stuff. If my HD on my comp goes down, the only thing I would lose mugenwise would be the music I use for mugen.

Yeah, I also have a second HD, but it got messed up as well...being a internal HD and all. I had everything backed up on writable DVD's  and I got one huge Mugen collection, I wouldn't want to rebuild that again.

NP,buddy, after what I went through I just wanted to warn people to back up their data no matter what. Your computer could just die for no apparent reason and wipe your HD clean. Always be prepared for the worse.

Yeah, you could say I learned something from the past alright, I've lost my mugen stuff along with everything else before and I'm not gonna let that happen again. I did lose all my bookmarks however, so I  need to look for various sites again.....grrrrr what a headache >:(

My computer has never crashed before because my security is high. One question guys how much did  pay for your external drive. I might get one because you never know what could happen to my computer in the future. :)
