Tough Decisions, Tough Decisions. In my opinion, Cloud would rely on power due to the massive sword he's carrying while Link would mostly rely on speed. So in my opinion, I think Cloud would win.

Now for accomplishments:

Link has stopped Ganon and other mad men from ruling the world many times.

Cloud has stopped Sephiroth (who has god-like power) from destroying the world 2 times.

As for Majora's mask. ... it wouldn't really count because he needed four giants to stop Majora's moon from crashing into the planet. Without the giants... ouchies...
Also I think Sephiroth's meteor might be bigger then Majora's moon. I don't know... but I do know that Cloud didn't need 4 giants to stop Sephiroth's meteor. 

Edit: Woah, I just noticed Ike's Final Smash "Great Aether" rips a bit off of Squalls last limit break "Lionhart"

Link would own him, there's been rumors around that he's a girl though, ! The only reason I picked Link is becouse the Zelda games are more creative, they're always coming up with new exciting things, and the details and artwork is amazing, Ganondorf looks f**k** sweet! "Final" Fantasy, final my @$$, how many "Final" fantasy's has there been!!! The only good one was 7, but even that was pretty gay, the characters are all pretty generic and uninspiring! And as far as the Omnislash goes, it looks more like Ike's Great Aether!

Edit: The only FF characters I like are those 3 chicks, or was it only 2? Anyways, them and Tifa!

Dude. We're talking about straight up which character would own. Not which game series is more fun, or detailed.
Another thing is... Link needs a hookshot/clawshot/somethingthatendswiththewordshot. According to Advent Children, Cloud can freaking fly. He jumps scyscrapers in one massive leap, and lands like a feather.
Link... He just shots his way up, and if he's too high, he gets hurt when he falls.

Aeris (as I first knew her ) is my favorite female video game character of all time.

Personally, Link vs. Cloud is really, really difficult to call, mostly because their abilities seem to grow and change from each new title they're in.

I agree with VKM though.. it is amazing how much Link's FS in Brawl looks like Cloud's Omnislash.
