Looks awesome! As the article says, the gameplay looks to be like Secret Rings which means it probably will be for the Wii. Looks like it will be the best looking Wii game graphically if that's true.

Can't wait because I enjoyed Secret Rings. There were things that needed to be fixed in it, but it was still a fun game and i'm sure they will be addressed in this one; meaning this will be a superb game if things are polished.

Thats surprising since Sega never really focuses on graphics. I only got to briefly play Secret rings, but I heard it was really good (one of the best since adventure).

I noticed the pictures of Super Sonic on that website looks more like the Sonic 2-3 version rather than the Sonic Adventure version (even the eyes are black... The Adventure's Super Sonic had red eyes and hair that was less gravity defying). Maybe they made Super Sonic like this to look different then Shadow. I don't know, but his normal character model seems the same as the adventure series.
Anyways, I hope this game turns out good.
Sonic should be a 2d platform style game and 2d platform style only.
The 3d games sucked. Last night when I was playing SA2 on DC, I died a lot on Sonic's last stage because of the broken rail grinding system. Like I would do a homing attack right in front of the rails, and I somehow miss by ten inches, and fall to my death, In SA1, the camera killed me a lot by getting stuck behind floors, walls and ceilings, and sometimes it would be hard to tell where to go because it goes out on a helicopter view, thus not letting see everything in front of you. Sonic Heroes has a lot of issues that I don't even want to talk about, Shadow The Hedgehog was basically SA2 but with guns and cars, it was absolute trash. After all those games, I decided to never play a 3d sonic game ever again.
Thank God they're going back to 2d.

Yeah, I just saw that video over at GameFaqs. This truly is going to be the best since Sonic Adventure 2. It looks like it may even surpass it. Mixing 2D with 3D sounds awesome!

@VKM: I never had camera problems like you're pointing out. Everyone talks about them but I never had a problem with them. Same with grinding, I have never died from them and I'm a big risk taker on Final Rush with the grinding

You must have not played the handheld games. They are great, and SADX was an upgrade to a great game.

Really there has only been two horrible Sonic games and they were Sonic 06 and Shadow the Hedgehog. I don't count Riders since it wasn't even a real Sonic game, just a racer. Sonic Heroes was at least passable, not great but decent.

No, I just read that all three will be the same. The Wii version will be downgraded graphically a bit, but that's it.

Everyone should listen to Teros, he knows what he's saying about sonic, the best Sonic game since the 2D ones is Adventure 2 Battle, It was fun to play with, even when you beat the game, you could raise chao and try to get all A's with characters, I did that with Shadow by the way and I never had problems with the camera or falling off rails in his last stage, I was bumed to find out that you could only use his kool costume in 2player mode, I use to be a HUGE Shadow fan, I dont know so much now though, I think Sonic will always be #1 in my heart no matter how much I like Shadow, and trust me, I WAS OBSESSED WITH SHADOW! I really like the Chaos, I want them back! ! SONIC FTW!

I wasn't really a fan of the Chaos games, it felt kind of like weird versions of Chocobo's mixed with Tamagochi's. I've been playing Sonic since the 2nd game, and that was when Sonic was virtually a perfect game. Also, I hate accidentally getting the Chaos keys. >_> That was one more thing I hated about the game. They should make it a choice at the end of the level, and the broken rail grinding system still makes me feel like I'm going to throw up.

I'm glad about this game though because they're going back to their roots, correcting nearly all wrongs they have made. It's about time Sega finally learned from their mistakes.

** I still don't see what's broken about them. I never had a problem with them. Your controller must be broken Also, you have to cut it some slack, the game came out on the Dreamcast. Physics in games back then weren't as great as they are now for that type of stuff.
