problem with special moves
« on: March 16, 2008, 09:05:38 AM »
with a few characters, if you make a move in the CMD like this....

D,DF, F, punch

then if they have a move that's done like this....

F, D, DF, punch or F, D, DF, F, punch

the move that's done F,

D, DF, F, punch will not work.

Any way to make this work correctly

And in the cns portion of your command file, make sure that your special and hyper attackes are above the basic attacks and movements.

try putting the most complex commands ( the changestate) at the beginnign of the statedef -1, because if theay are the last they wouldn't be recognized since the char will make the one that is more simple and less complex that is first.............I hope I don't confuse you more

I think because it reads the code on a up-to down priority ...so if a command that uses a part of another less complex command, its first it "stops" searching for more since it has found the code to use ...and it doesn't reach the lower one .....in the other way around, of the complex code is first mugen detects is a possibility...let me use an example

1.D,DF,F,x
2.D,DF,F,x,y

if the changestate of the command 1 its first, it will stop searching for more codes when you reach the x button........itfthe 2  changestate its first....it is a detected as a possibilitie, and gave you little time to press the y button
