I didn't watch the video (can't bear to do it), but I had heard of this. It makes me feel sick to think that someone would treat a living creature this way.

Cruelty toward animals (not to mention baby animals) is disgusting.

i saw that damn clip on the news some days ago.
i suppose after killing human beings and saw whatnot inhuman war sins, those solds are un-feeling entities..

I really don't think that everyone in the military are cold, unfeeling monsters. I've met people in the military both offline and online that are perfectly respectable indiviuals. However, what we have here definitley is awful, and is a poor example to everyone in their professsion.

And because of those things U.S. soldiers get an awful reputation abroad. Some people I know keep telling me "You're a goddamn Yankee piece of cr*p like them!" (Because I'm a fan of America) ignoring that some Argentinean soldiers and cops are just like them. There are good people and motherf*ckers anywhere in the world.

Fake puppy looks fake. I've watched it many times and I can't see any real evidence that the puppy was real.

Regardless, I don't think puppy (or kitten, for that matter

) tossing is an activity that US soldiers should be engaging in, simulated or otherwise.

At the very least, it envokes a very negative image.

it isn't fake the puppy was already dead when he threw it one of the guys just made the noise while it was in the air.

I've considered that. However, I've looked at the puppy very closely. It's too stiff for it to be dead. And this is coming from someone with personal experience with dealing with dead puppies.

To those saying its fake, have ya'll ever scruffed a cat? Meaning you grab it by the back of the neck and it stays in a stiff state (meaning it wont move). Well, you can do that to puppies too. I don't really like dogs, more a cat person. But I think this sucks.He should be thrown in jail.

You have to remember that it is a desert environment and that the puppy if dead already, could have suffered from riger mortis faster than usual. Apperently, the Marine isn't denying the incident is faked or staged. Again, who knows, there isn't ANYTHING that is 100% that the video is fake or real. There is a on going investigation by the Marines.

The puppy looks too "good" to have died and suffered from rigor mortis, even if it was faster than usual, I doubt it would have happened so fast that the puppy would still look well. And look at it's position. If the puppy died, it wouldn't be in that pose. It's like saying someone who died of starvation suffered from rigor mortis in a way that he's sitting straight up, as if he was in a chair.

As for the "scruffing" comment, I still say it looks completely fake. When he drew his hand back, it moved like a stuffed animal. Also, the puppy's yelps came rather late, in comparison of when it was being thrown and when it cried. Also, it doesn't even look like it's breathing.

I'm sorry, but I cannot see anything about this puppy that would lead me to believe it's a real and/or dead puppy. If an official source says otherwise, I'll suck it up and admit I was incorrect, but as of now, Fake Puppy is Fake.
