Heh I thought since I did this already that I just make it a tutorial (my first) for anyone who needs sounds from youtube videos. There might be a easier way, but this is the way I did it to help Negi with the Green/Dragon Ranger sounds.
This is what you need
Firefox
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/videodownloader
http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php (DOWNLOAD THE FLV player as well)
VirtualDub
http://www.virtualdub.org/Camstudio
http://www.camstudio.org/ (make sure you download the Lossless Codec as well)
Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer
http://www.acoustica.com/mp3-audio-mixer/ or any WAV editor
Ok once you have installed everything go to the video on youtube you want sounds of. The on the lower right hand corner of the window, you should see a blue floppy disc icon. Move your arrow over it and it will say videodownloader, click on it. A new window should pop up and follow the instructions on the window. Go back to your desktop and look for the file name "get_video". Change the extension (as said on the pop up window) to .flv and then click on the video and it will start playing on the FLV player.
Now open up camstudio and go to Region and make sure that it is checked on Region. After that go to options and select the "Record from Audio speakers" option. Once camstudio is finishing analyzing your speakers, you are ready to begin to record the video (there is a chance the camstudio might not like your audio set up, and if it doesn't I can't help you). Press the record button (the red circle) and a pointer (?) with crosshairs should show up. Click and drag the area you want to record (it doesn't matter where cause you just want the sound) and record. If you want to stop recording, go to your taskbar and click on the Camstudio icon and press the stop button (the blue square) and a save window will pop up and name the file whatever you want to name it. The AVI file might be huge, but that is ok cause you will get rid of it soon.
Now open Virtualdub and drag your newly created video on to virturaldub window and your vid will show up.
Now you will see
of arrows on the bottom of the virturaldub window and bar with numbers on the bottom fo it. The arrows are typical like play, stop (square) fastfoward (although you have to stop the video) etc. The bar is used to pick to get to a certain spot of the video faster. For example if you click on the middle of the bar, you are in the middle of the video, get it? Depending on the video, you might only want a certain scene from the entire video. For this you got the beginning of the scene you want by using the bar. Press the black left arrow button and then use the bar to find where you think the scene ends or you can press play and watch the whole scene then press stop when the scene ends. Where the scene ends, you press the black right arrow button. You will see on the bar that scene is selected. You can not use the black arrow buttons when the video is in play so you have to stop the video each time. When this is done, go to file, and save as WAV. For the whole video go to the start of the video, press the black left arrow button and then go to the end of the video and press the black right arrow button and you selected the whole video. You can now throw away that AVI file.
Now you have a WAV, you can now edit it. I use Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer
http://www.acoustica.com/mp3-audio-mixer/ . It isn't free though. Now maybe that scene you wanted had certain sounds you wanted. Just drag and select, right click and cut out any dialog and anything else you don't want.It is pretty simple to find out how to locate where you think the sound effect or dialog you want, so I won't explain that. Once you got the sound you want, just move it to the beginning (all the way to the left) so that way you won't have a 3 min file where at 2:30 the sound you want finally starts. Save it as a mp3 or a WAV and there you go, you just ripped the sound/s or dialog you wanted from youtube.
