how to replace sprites/ add more sprites?

i have a cyclops that i want to replace sprites for, and i was wondering how do i go about doing this. i also need to know if i will need to resize or convert the sprites i am using as well.  now, with me doing this, this will increase his overall animation frames, so i need to know how to keep everything in order. help please!

Go into the docs in your mugen folder and look into air files.
Basically get fighter factory, add the sprites in the sff. Like lets say you wanted to add a sprite for a punch


Example, the group of the punch would be

1667 and there was a total of 10 sprites but you want to add a new sprite between 5 and 6, you could go to adding a sprite and name it 1667 and the sprite number would be 11, then go into the air file and look where the attack is coded (it should say by the group number or something, I haven't done it in a while)

Then there will be something for example

1667, 0
1667, 1
1667, 2
1667, 3
1667, 4
1667, 5
1667, 6
1667, 7
1667, 8
1667, 9
1667, 10

You could add the sprite you wanted in between like this example
1667, 0
1667, 1
1667, 2
1667, 3
1667, 4
1667, 5
1667, 11
1667, 6
1667, 7
1667, 8
1667, 9
1667, 10

So then the 11th sprite would happen between 5 and 6 like you planned.
Also make sure you use notepad for the air file and not ms word.

I don't know how to set the length of time for attacks though.  :-??
