Females and videogames (especially fighting games)

Someone on the "we're... uh... back up" thread suggested to make a post, so here it goes.

I'll repeat what I said there:

I take it chicks don't like fighting games... the ones who like videogames at all.

I met one back at school who liked Mortal Kombat, but not for the fighting itself but for the storyline or something like that. I remember she told me she liked Raiden and Quan-chi. Didn't know K.O.F. or Street Fighter.

But she hates fighting. She used to mock me 'cause I'm a WWF/WWE fan. For example she told me "Triple H has homosexual connotations due to the fact that he wears a thong with a cross in his crotch area." I was like WTF!?  (I'm a Rock/Stone Cold/Y2J/Undertaker/TAKA Michinoku fan by the way), or this one: "You can't see me! I'm a repressed homosexual!" (for John Cena). Later I found out some ex-boyfriend who dumped her also liked WWF/WWE, so I guess that's the reason why she doesn't like it.

Let's see... another schoolmate of mine liked videogames but not fighting. She was into Abandonware: Prehistorik and Prince of Persia (both games 1-2 versions). She also had a fondness for Wolfenstein 3D (She asked me to make a copy of them for her).

I never met a fighting-game chick (and I was the only fighter at school, everyone - male or female -I knew were into Winning Eleven (soccer - not female obviously) and there was a small group of guys who introduced me into fantasy like Diablo and Warcraft. Another chick used to play Lineage II.

my half-sister (16 years old) likes videogames specially the final fantasies (she is a fu**ing FF7 fangirl ),super marios,and believe it or not castevania,yes we are playing the castlevania games since we were kids
she doesnt really like fighting games but she loves darktalkers and melty blood dont matter why

Anyways, I know a bunch of girls who like videogames. And some of them like fighting games.

My girl hates fighting games but she loves games like super mario,donkey kong country 3 or almost any game that has a female as the main character.
She also loves to watch me play resident evil games.She likes the storylines and says it's almost like watching a horror movie

My girlfriend barely plays games, although I do know she likes MK and SF,  but barely plays them. Although she beat my @ss at Tetris, (I was ranked 6th place and she was ranked 1st), I know her sisters like playing fighting games because they wouldn't stop playing smash bros when I hooked up their gamecube last week. (The time before that, I got them hooked on KoF2k6).
