Reiko Hikari Final Version

This is it. A project that started nearly a year ago has finally come to a close. Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way, and a big thanks to the kind folks who did sprite edits for the costume winpose.

I give you... Reiko Hikari, Final Release!



She's received a massive list of updates since the previous version:

  • New palette by Shinryuu (Shinryu.act)
  • Fixed a bug with the AI in A-Style
  • Fixed a bug where the super BG would fade away if you performed one super right after another.
  • Fixed an issue where Hyper Incoming! would not "hit" a standing opponent until the object was fully on the ground.
  • Removed fall damage on the UFO ultimate.
  • Alien Abduction can now be buttonmashed for more hits
  • Added Reiko's new voices to Ultimate Attack (was using old voices instead)
  • Fixed bug where Heavy Pirouette could be turned into a Medium Pirouette and force Reiko to float in midair
  • Fixed bug where Z-Countered Headbutt would do EX flashes if missed
  • Added some new easter eggs
  • Changed command of "Naptime" to 2QCB+Start, to prevent accidental usage (got a few complaints)
  • Cleaned up spaceship sprites on Spaceship Crash
  • Had to undo the changes I made to Stand+Z, and instead tightened up the ground.velocity.x on all of Reiko's basics. Ground chaining should be easier now as a result.
  • Ground roll should be vulnerable to throws now
  • Ground roll invincibility wears off earlier
  • Fixed graphic glitch in EX Dive Bomb
  • Fixed Flying Reiko glitch in Respect Teh Blob (that should be the last of the Flying Reiko bugs)
  • Fixed a minor glitch with the HP throw
  • Fixed trajectory of LP Reppuken?
  • Fixed a graphic glitch on EX What's That (ground dust effect in midair)
  • Increased recovery time on EX Reppuken
  • Added in a missing Clsn2 box at the end of Crouch Y
  • Fixed clsn boxes on several moves, including infinite priority problems
  • Added a new winpose based on the Reiko Halloween costume contest I held on Guild/RS.
  • I had to make changes to the sound file again (sorry Jango, BBH). A certain easter egg just doesn't have enough impact without the sound.
  • Since I'm changing the sound file, I added a slide sound effect for the baserunner's slide.
  • See sound.txt for other changes made to the sound file.
  • Tweaked the AI yet again. She no longer blockwhores, and her combos should be more varied now, especially the air combos. Still not perfect, but this is about as good as I think I'll be able to get it without making it ubercheap.
  • Fixed a bug where the parry pause would last too long with certain attacks.
  • Fixed a bug where the AI would use the ground version of Dance of Devastation in the air.
  • Added a new present for you guys. Not only can you download Dark Reiko as an addon, but there's a new RDR.def as well... Happy Halloween.

Also released is the Dark Reiko add-on. By popular demand, she's become a downloadable add-on for Reiko.



Dark Reiko is just like Reiko, except she's dark! ZOMG LOL! She can also pull off the Proton Cannon and Shun Goku Satsu.

And if that's not cheap enough for you, try out the new Really Dark Reiko...



Really Dark Reiko is my own response to the ubercheap character fad. She slaughters most cheapies, and can go toe-to-toe with some of the more uber cheapies... unlike some cheapies though, she IS killable.

In addition, I have updated Baby Bonnie Hood's alternate soundpacks and they are hosted alongside Reiko. Jango will likely update his Tourette's Guy soundpack soon as well.

EDIT: Fixed a minor bug relating to the costume winpose. If you have not downloaded Reiko before seeing this message, then hold tight and she'll be back online shortly. If you've already downloaded Reiko, please download this patch and overwrite Reiko's existing Common.st: http://kamek.piiym-net.com/Common.st

Congrats on your final update on Reiko Kamek! It has been a very good year and i am glad you have finally finished Reiko man. Awesome Release man!  :thumbsup:

Wonderful...Finally Reiko has reached completion! :thumbsup:
I just have two questions...does she have that Ultimate Move in Flonne palette or it was an edit of "we know who"?
Also,how cheap is now Dark reiko?can she give Dark Storm K or the Evil Trio(included Evil Dan of course) a run for thier money?

Hey Kamek. Every time i counter in mid-air i get stuck up in the air and have to jump to get out of that lol. Anyways could you possible fix that and if you can i would greatly appreciate.

Relax-o-vision FTW.

Upon testing out RDR against POTS' Rare Akuma, it seems she's been over-cheapified. Even 2 Rare Akuma's can't beat her. IMO, she recovers Health too quickly.

Also, I don't know what the hell happened, but during one of her fights with Rare Akuma, a clone of her was created. (one that doesn't do anything)

And AGAIN with the also...In a team battle, if there are 2 RDRs, if 1 is killed, for some reason, the dead one still recovers health as long as the other is alive, but remains dead.
(UPDATE) I tried this again, and it didn't happen this time. I do not know what causes it.
