Brooklyn woman finds 7-foot python in her toilet

(Brooklyn - WABC, October 17, 2007) - A 38-year-old Brooklyn woman got quite a surprise when she used her bathroom Monday morning.

The New York Daily News is reporting that Nadege Brunacci was washing her hands when she glanced at the toilet and saw a 7-foot python staring back at her.

"I turned on the light and screamed, 'Oh, my God!'" she told the newspaper. "It still makes my heart race."

Brunacci told the Daily News that she slammed down the lid, put a heavy box on top of it and began calling city agencies.

She said most didn't believe her, and the ones that did told her, "We don't do snakes."

Finally, she said the FDNY and her landlord came to the rescue.

Plumbers reportedly had to tear apart the downstairs neighbor's pipes to capture the serpent, which had retreated so that only its head poked through the toilet.

"I was anxious about it getting flushed and never coming out," 41-year-old neighbor Valerie Ross told the Daily News after the snake was extricated from her apartment. "I'm happy it's out. Now I'm just unhappy about the holes in my pipes."

Officials say they are unsure where the snake came from or how it made its way up three stories of piping.

The python may be gone from her apartment, but that doesn't mean it's out of Brunacci's mind.

"When I brush my teeth, I'm looking over my shoulder," she told the paper.

It was probably a neighbors snake. My cousin found a snake in his bathtub one day and he called animal control. The next day a guy came to his door and asked him if he had found a snake cause he was going door to door in the building.

It wasn't six feet though
