the hype is very real for this movie. Winter soldier may just be knocked off as my favorite MCU movie

I was so happy to see this. This is why I completely skipped the Amazing Spider-man movies. Because Marvel would have to find a way... and they did!

Also...

Perfect John Romitta Sr. Spider-man eyes (and they move!!!!), he has capsules around his belt (web fluid?), and the smaller 1960-70s spider on the chest to really differentiate him.

I'm just soooo happy! I can't stop watching this!

Can't say I like that Spiderman yet, but they speculate Cap will die in this one.

@eg6gsr: I don't really know how they can top CA:WS though. All of the fight scenes would have to be incredible, and I think this move is owning it (from the previews, thus far). I can only hope there is more action, and less drama...

Although... War Machine. Am I going to be sad watching a Marvel movie again?! ???

First Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, now War Machine in Civil War?

I'm still #TeamCap, but that doesn't mean I don't have a heart.

#TeamSpiderMan  :w00t:

Ok #TeamIronMan ftw!!

I was in a pizza shop watching trailer 2..... Stark said "underoooooos" and my heart thumped..... Spiderman came and then the eyes animation.....I shrieked like a fan girl at a Chris brown concert!!! I Spidey gasmed!  Whole place turned around lookin at me....I went outside to rewatch it 7 times to make sure I saw what I saw . pure hype!

Love his suit , so classic and the eyes just set it off perfectly! Cool comic tribute. Spidey is home and the internet blew up!

I don't really care about this MCU's Civil War or Avengers, but i do care about however is Spider-Man!

Thank god they brought the Sam Raimi's Spider-Man twip sound effect!

His CGI-costume is weird, but I'm really like they used with mix Steve Ditko/John Romita Sr./Alex Ross design and the old 1967's Spider-Man cartoon together into one iconic costume!

Oh and Marvel/Disney, give this an amazing artist Steve Ditko a big credit on the screen. He deserve it, he deserves more love, more attention and more respect.

So Sony owns movie rights to Spider-Man. They are allowing Marvel to use him in Civil War. They are making a Spider-Man movie of their own, with the same actor for Spidey. Now my question is this:

Is MCU Spider-Man the same as Spidey-Movie-verse Spider-Man? Are Sony's movies canon in the MCU from now on? Who decides what happens in these movies now? Can Sony reference The Avengers?

It's just that this has never happened before. It's head-spinning.

Simplified story Sony still owns the rights to him and all solo movies will be under the sony brand but they are pretty much just letting marvel run the show with the character since they can't seem to get it right.

Sharing is caring....now fox just needs to do the same

That Spider costume is HORRIBLE! Not the costume per se, but the representation on the movie. Looks like a body paint.
And I thought that Green Dwarf  was the worst costume Marvel did on a movie...

I noticed something off about it too. Its either one or two things. 1 he is partially or fully CG here hence the skin tightness and overall glowing aura of the suit. Or 2, it was just put together so quickly to have him in the trailer that there are some apparent textures or color layers missing.

Spider-Man's suit looks better from the screenshots. He doesn't look as CG as he did in the trailer. I think someone said they had to compress it for youtube, or something like that...

Im sorry but you are wrong. It looks just like the old artwork with a bit of modern touches.
He's got mechanical webshooters and his belt.
The eyes move like in the comics.
This is the most faithful costume adaptation ever.
Its the best costume.

Well I prefer the Amazing Spiderman 2 costume. I think that's the best one yet. And I also think they will change his costume into the classic one in the next movie, like they did with TASM.

I agree its always going to be the casual fan with little to no comic knowledge speaking on things they really dont know about. In fact I think its about time they finally animated his eyes like the comics but then we'll probably get another Mr/Ms "know it all" saying they stole that idea from deadpool.

Long Story: SONY produces/Marvel Directs all the the Solo and Spiderverse related movies, DISNEY produces/Marvel Directs the MCU movies with Spider-Man being involved. Both sides use the same Spider-Man. Spider-Man is the new Stan Lee.

Whether or not Disney and SONY decide to collaborate on shared existence of timeline thread corresponding to the flow of events in both universes or if MCU characters will make cameos in future Spider-Verse movies remains to be seen, but the options are definitely on the table at this point.
