Deadpool (2016 film) [Have you seen this man?]
« on: February 13, 2016, 10:09:14 PM »

"Maximum Effort!" :o

Deadpool was everything I thought it would be, thought it could be, thought it- JUST.EVERYTHING ABOUT IT WAS AWESOME!

I don't know about you, but I'm going to see it more times than I saw TDK in theatres (4? ;*)) ), and obviously buy it day one on bluray. (4th wall edition at Best Buy, here I come!) [Best Buy? Just order it off Amazon and they'll have Mary E Winstead deliver it to your door. "Hi, Scott!" ;) ]

I loved it. It had some cool songs, angel of the morning was a perfect opener
the opening credits looked like Umvc3  and very violent as far as action movies go, but after a few head chops you kinda get numb to it and forget your watching an R rated movie,
jokes were awesome, even Easter eggs were spot on. Knocking origins deadpool, Jackman, batman, and the infamous lantern
colossus had a heart of gold, that constantly got him n trouble, negasonic had some cool scenes but deadpools comments to her started to annoy me
not the knocks, but the "WTS" it got repeatative, riply and senade occonner was pretty good. A random bob henchmen (great Easter egg)
and Stan the man lee, what a cameo

I like how the movie made the x-men characters live in a PG-13 world while deadpool characters lived in the R rated world. I also LOOOOOOVED how they did the origin story so we didn't have to sit through 45 mins to a hour of boring just to get to him busting heads.

The movie is also breaking some records and is doing very good at the box office so a sequel is a no brainer. Fox this is a PREFECT time to start thinking about some hard R standalone wolverine movies seeing as Jackman is on his way out......just think about it

I thought it was an awesome movie.  The R rating really did Deadpool Justice.

@DEMONKAI: I have been seen it only once so far, sadly... But if you're in America, Marcus Theatres... $5 Tuesdays. I won't be able to see it this Tuesday, but from now on I hope so, until maybe the 4th or 5th time. ;)

@Arkady: BOB! YES! I really want him to be in the sequel too! More than just a cameo hopefully, too. Hopefully the revenue it's generating, Deadpool Strikes Back (Jay & Silent Bob / Star Wars mock title idea?) will be way more epic (is that even possible?) and have a longer run-time. I mean, obviously you don't want it to just go on forever, but I'm thinking since this one was a little less than 2 hours, the next one could be a little less than 3. There is SOOOO much Deadpool content to work with. They could make like 4 or 5 movies, and no one will ever be bored or tired of seeing Deadpool movies. >:D

The fact that "The Wolverine" was PG-13 is just brain fart worthy. Like how are you going to take a character like this and dumb him down like that? I'm glad they have a chance for a fresh start, now that Marvel knows R Rated is the way to go with these kinds of characters. Wolverine & Deadpool movies should always be at least Rated R.

I saw it had beat it's budget by the time Friday's numbers came in. I was like :cool. It's really not surprising, it was definitely one of the greatest movies that I've seen in the longest time.

If i could get a gif of the opening credits of this movie, id make it my signature for sure, i would love it if they recast wolvie for the sequel too, so they could have a real R rated blood splattering version of him for at least a minute or two, they did it with colossus and even though he was very CGI
he was a lot better than the original version

Being fair, that's not entirely Hugh Jackman's fault, moreso the studio or directors.

Deadpool was:

#1 President's Day Weekend ever
#1 February Opening ever
#1 R-Rated Opening ever
#1 for Fox Studio ever

I didn't see it because I'm happily a prude but I'm not surprised at the box office numbers... the rating didn't stop people from bringing their kids and most everyone I know who saw it once saw it again.

And with that Deadpool has pulled off another miracle.

That's right folks Fox is looking/trying to make that next up coming stand alone Wolverine movie a R rated film :o :o, now to be fair the next movie might not be rated R but at the very least it's a step in GREAT direction.  ^:)^ ^:)^thank you for all you have done Wade, without you none of this would be possible

For anyone wondering where the heck the soundtrack is on amazon, it's here.

Deadpool Film Soundtrack

I kept seeing the album cd the day the digital one was supposed to release, and was like "WHAT?!" lol.

I'll be seeing this again next Tuesday and... pretty much a lot of Tuesdays after. :O*D

Saw this at the first showing in my home town and then again a few days ago. It was really good. Crossing my fingers for Taskmaster in the sequel if they can do that. Though...

Good movie! Luv'd the hard hitting action & look of this film. Deadpool & Colossus were awesome... they were so comic accurate! Piotr being so noble, super strong & tough with a hint of playfulness, Wade being a crazy, sarcastic, sadistic tool that u actually feel compelled to root for was just done so well. I even liked the badies in Ajax & Angel Dust... they came off pretty menacing. The only few nit-picks i have are at the final showdown of the movie when

. But all in all, i really liked the film & can't wait for an X-Force movie that hopefully happens because of all the great buzz this film has generated.  [-O<
