edit:gotta re align the bloody sprites too. that's what i get for jumping ahead of myself  o.O#

 wow, you trying to make an msh game? if so that is going to be 2 project then  :cool.. dont know if you know that loganir and i we both working on a msh2 game with some of the feeling from the original.. we been working on this since a long time..

Yea i now realized that after talking to loganir. I already know my system is quite different so I'm trying to just start with the original roster to keep our games distinct.

On the flipside of that i'd be happy to collaborate with you guys too.

Good point on the neck. I saw something similar, but didn't touched the neck. I did added on her legs:

Still needs some work, but right on the way. :)


yeah that is great with the legs, but you can really tell with the neck in her standing animation, you might just have to do it during standing animation and walking animation

I think its the first time I saw an kickstarter like mugen project. Its not a bad idea, but its a serious copyright break.
About the intro, her sprites are misaligned.

Its a greay area. The companies can or cannot accept it. Plus, Marvel never said anything like that, just Capcom. But yeah, you are asking for money to develop the game, not to sell the game itself.

I know how difficult it is to make a game, I went through a similar phase in which I would like to help, but the help never came, working on my own game alone, I have no income, it's just a hobby, some time ago Loganir authorized the use of one of his characters, and a friend offered to program one of my characters in another engine.

My recommendation is not to hurry too, not set deadlines, usually takes much longer than you might think, not all of us are like the wonders of mugen

-Sprites are aligned/scaled just not in the video :p

-Thanos has the guantlet and the gems.

-If they send a cease and desist so be it. but it's unlikely. If i do receive that, it will be because of characters.

-and yes all donations will be for the game. I want to even do retroactive commission for people's past work I use. I have my eye on a few characters i want to update. we'll see if the authors give permission.

-Deadlines help me concentrate

It would have to be pretty good. There are creators I would support with a really good presentation. I know projects almost all of us would support giving track records and previous work. Zvitor, Acey, O, Loganir, Verz, Bouyog, Unlimited Team and a few others that deal specifically with these type of characters and have very high quality work.

This is merely a pal swap. Your presentation would have to really make us believe you can do it. Projects that I believe would gather a lot of funding.

If you can make She Hulk really good, you can gather a lot more interest in your project. Your game is competing with one of the better projects that is still really active.

they could make a cool byrne look just have to be very resourceful of using eliza sprites that don't remind you of the char.

an idea is change her stance, but keep the old one for a hyper

the idea she would have default  stance like her umvc3 version or a new one whatever you like, but use the old one that looks like eliza for a hyper which when activated will put her in that stance for athletic style...faster attacks...double jump...custom combos with a timer bar.  similar to a mix between gen style switch and cvs style chars

i have to say that i always been against making money out this hobby. mugen is free and so we should keep it like that. we all got real life jobs, we dont do this instead of our jobs, plus we dont own the rights to the characters.. i speak for myself, i dont do this for money or anything related or for competition or praise. i do this for the art, i think its cool and also for the fans so they can play with my creations.. a lot of the great guys also that do this they dont try to collect money. and paying for development its still making money out of this and people can get in trouble.. why, because the spriters that will be getting paid for their time, are still using stuff that belong to the various companies.

 as for the game itself, first you need to show people that you got what it takes to do a game.. once you got something solid under your belt, people will start believing in it and then they might join in and help.. also a lot of those projects mentioned here well, lets say they want to keep original content, its what separates them too.. in our case with msh2, we wanted to have a different cast of characters, original, to give the game a fresh feel..

Sure, i see what you are saying verz. I greatly respect what you and loganir are doing and why. other people may or may not see things the same way. Sprite commissions aren't an unusual practice so i feel fairly confident i won't see a problem. I really just wanted to make an attempt at giving back to people who help me. As far as motivation for making this I just have an idea for a game, I want it to be good and i want to play it. it's really that simple.

When it comes to the game some will want to contribute and some won't. it's their content and their choice. I don't believe our games to be in competition either. I can't wait to play MSH2 in fact.
I'm trying to avoid any characters you'll be using (except for She-Hulk sorry) and our systems will be very distinct.

 Sounds good.. I see what you saying too.. I understand giving back to those that help you. And it's not how me and loganir see things. It's just that I rather be safe than sorry if something goes down with this companies and their properties. For me it's fan work so I don't look to get paid for it. And to be honest I think the people that will help you with this will do it from their hearts and won't ask you for money. I mean there are so many characters already made that I'm sure you won't have problems getting permission to use them. So just try that rout first and see how it goes. Still good luck with your game.

 As for the games, no need to be sorry. In fact I bet whatever characters you use will play and be different than ours. If you look around you see characters that different creators made and they play and are different. So don't worry what matters is that fans can enjoy the creations.
