Which MAME version do you use? In many frontends, you can see the games classification at the left. Just choose FIGHTING VERSUS and you will see all the options.
Sites like planetemu.net have all the roms and many frontends.
Thanks for the info man! Yeah I have them all actually. the current one im using now is MAME + PLUS. The interface n such is different. a bit more updated. But I was told that the older versions seem to handle certain roms better for some odd reason. But its just the roms be missing the files I notice between different sites. Ill check those sites you mentioned though for more info for myself. Never heard of those.
however I just found the official WINKAWAKS site. so I downloaded that emulator too so I can play all those neo geo games with no problem. A lot of those neo geo games have a hard time playing on those Mame engines I see. I was trying to get Aggressors of dark Kombat to work. Kawaks is the only engine I see got working now
Latest MAME release is 0.157. Don't forget to get the BIOS pack, many roms need them.

Kawaks seemed to have cleared up most of my fighting game error issues now. I should have remembered that too. I used to have a modded G1 xbox ages back that had all that sh*t in there, even final burn alpha
