Guardians of the Galaxy Thread!

Of all the movies I've seen this year so far, Guardians has been my favorite, with Winter Soldier right behind that.

I'm enjoying Andrew Garfield as Parker and the last movie was fun. However, I would like to see Marvel include Spider-man in the Avengers.
The X-men franchise is so big. Marvel would find it difficult to handle all these Avengers/Guardians movies AND X-men on top of that.

Sad truth is Fox and Sony are never going to give the rights back. They'd be crazy to do that. Those are huge money makers for them.

Disney/Marvel might not be able to get the rights for them back, but with there bank flow they should be able to purchase the rights to use characters like Galactus, Dr. Doom, Spider-Man for a single movie. As long as the money is right then Sony and Fox would be moronic not to let them use the characters for the last showdown with Thanos and the gauntlet. It's a win for everybody. Plus I can't imagine the final showdown without Galactus being present. I know it won't happen but I just don't see why a compromise can't be made between these companies and make something not just cool, but Epic.

I am gonna stick to my guns and say Marvel should have never gave they rights away to their stuff. Especially since their own movies are tight as they been. Blade tho is an exception since I love the series that was made. I wonder what Marvel studios would do with it tho.

You gotta spend money to make money, marvel needed money way back when, plus they wanted to see there heroes in the silverscreen

now they want to make or their way, and just like their comics they are doing it awesome

You have to remember, all the crappy movies from the late 90's/early 2000's were before there was Marvel Studios. If it weren't for them trying to pioneer out there with Sony and Fox, we may not have had Marvel Studios and the Avengers films. At least they got to make some movies, unlike DC who is owned by Warner Bros. and WB hasn't made many DC movies in comparison. Mostly just the Dark Knight movies.

I really hope the movie completely destroys Transformers at the box office 

And it's happened, $251,884,000 vs transformers $243,825,000 and it's only just starting it's 4th week so it's more than likely going to be the number one movie of 2014.

Here's to hoping Antman get the sames treatment.
