Denzel Wasinton set to play John stewart GL (not lex)

well this movie is starting to get bigger then ever they need to change it into the justice league movie b/c Earlier rumors hit that actor Denzel Washington was set to play Superman’s arch nemesis Lex Luthor in the highly anticipated Man of Steel sequel, which is set to open in theaters in 2015.  As quickly as that story went viral on the Internet we received a scoop claiming something completely different.

According to our source, the “Training Day” actor is being considered for the role of Green Lantern John Stewart instead.  If this proves to be true, Green Lantern will join an ever growing list of members from DC’s Justice League of America that also include Superman, Batman and Wonder Women.

What are your thoughts on this new development?

“Batman vs. Superman” opens in theaters on July 17, 2015.  Many fans think the official title will be Justice League.  The movie will be directed by  Zack Snyder and stars  Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and more!

My thoughts is scrap this and give him his own movie. And the script must be extremely good to get Denzel in the 1st place.

It seems like they have no faith in any characters doing well in the box office other then batman or superman. They think that the best course of action is to just shove all of them in this one movie before they get any sort of part in another film. One of the reasons the avengers worked was because the audience already knew the characters so the film didn't need to have any sort of back story for them and it could just focus on the main plot.

Lets stop calling it Man of Steel two. Its the justice League. It just so happens to be happening after the events of that movie.

Just because characters like GL or Wonder Woman are in this movie, doesnt mean they will have a big role.  It will probably end up being a cameo, if true, leading into the Justice League.  Either ways, as someone who appreciated Man of Steel, I have faith in Snyder.

This movie is just doing to much if this rumor is true. At what point is this "Superman movie" going to focus on Superman himself, I mean even if it's just cameo's for everyone it seems like they think this movie can't stand on it's own and they need this gimmick to get people in the seats a second time.
