Can you guys help me with something?

Sorry about posting this else where 

 I've been out of the Mugen scene for a long time now ( Over 9 years    ) and was wondering if you guys could recommend some good chars, stages, lifebars, and screen packs. Also, if you have links to any of them I will be eternally grateful 

Sidenote: Please tell me which Mugen they are for ( 1.0 or old mugen ) again, I've been out for quite some time and have no clue what chars and etc are compatible with what  Lastly, please keep the Street Fighter char recommendations to a minimum ( Unless they are the best ever made and are completely different from their original source, don't post them.) I like SF, don't get me wrong. But when I left over 9 years ago there were a million Ryu, Ken, and Akuma variants out there  and I'm sure that number has more than tripled by now. It was so bad I almost considered making a full game out of just Ryu edits 

  for a moment. Did that Kratos from GoW ever get finished? ( Not the chibi one ). I remember seeing a teaser for him a loooooong time ago and the creator put a ridiculous release date on him ( coming soon 4 years from now I believe )  then after waiting the absurd amount of time 4 years later they updated saying it was going to be another 4-5 years. I was like    f*** this and stopped following the project .

However, someone stole the original sprites of Kratos and made a crappy char out of that. With just stolen resources. Seriously, avoid that.
Also, if you want to have a Street Fighter char, who hasn't been MUGENized very often, I recommend you Skullomania by DivineWolf (WinMUGEN).If you want it old fashioned, I suggest you almost every char by PotS (MUGEN 1.0), Jmorphman (MUGEN 1.0) and CrazyKoopa (MUGEN 1.0).
Anf if you want something new like Touhou chars, you can visit Seravy's site (MUGEN 1.0), RicePigeon's site (MUGEN 1.0) and my WIP thread at MFG (MUGEN 1.0).

Anything that isn't Street Fighter, like I said they were done to death when I left. I'm basically looking for anything you guys consider  'must haves'  for Mugen nowadays.

OHH ok. dang cause i was gonna suggest Infinite characters but he has both some Street fighter and KOF types that play in his style all done in one cvs like style that is part of his crossover project.

 A Lot will i figure rest on what kind of playstyle you like . Wild and crazy or stream line with great supers and combo cool and some that have  some of both or a bunch of it.

Infinite does have a Gouken that i find totally amazing so if you do or find it in your mind to want to try one sf character... try his sf4 Gouken. Yeah its SF4 indeed and plays amazing. Note: you play with him and you may find yourself wanting to try his other creations. I am addicted cause they are  that good. My must haves.

try DCL Gambit too. great stuff.

Loganir & Verz Cyclops is kicka$$ so def pick it up...its a must have to me.

Persona 4 arena by sxvector for mugen 1.1 (is HD and need to make ports for chars but is awesome).

Oh god, please not.
While I do admit that IMT has some quality stuff, you really need to avoid anything that has something to do with "Marvel vs Capcom: Eternity of Heroes" (also known as MvC:EoH)

That still leaves like a ton of options though and many different styles to choose from.

BTW, get Mugen 1.0. Save yourself the headache of whether something is compatible or not.

Wait a sec, are old winmugen chars compatible with 1.0? If so, that is awesome news. I have a few discs with chars and stages on them and that would help jump start my roster again

Well, not all of them, but most of them.
And whenever a WinMUGEN char isn't 1.0 compatible, IMT is the perfect place to ask someone to convert it for you. Something that MFG doesn't do.

Yea, pretty much nearly all of them. All of my characters have worked so far.

Well, not all of them, but most of them.
And whenever a WinMUGEN char isn't 1.0 compatible, IMT is the perfect place to ask someone to convert it for you. Something that MFG doesn't do.

That's because there are a multitude of reasons why a character won't work on 1.0, most of them involving some bad coding. It's not quite as simple as you think

Yeah, I heard that a lot from Cyanide. However, I never said that it is simple.
Sure, sometimes, things get already fixed by commenting them out, since WinMUGEN ignores stuff like that.
However, there are still cases, were WinMUGEN chars work in MUGEN 1.0, but have weird side effects when using them in MUGEN 1.0...
