Hello my friends.

Since a long time ago, I always wanted to learn 3D to make my own chracters to mugen (since I can't sprite). I am still learning but I think the best way to learn is, actually, to make things :)

So, I started this char wip, which I will call "3D Boss" for now (I am gathering ideas for its name). This will be one of those bosses I like to do, with heavy damage and super armor, but still "killable".

The ideia is to abuse of fire powers, screams and underworld things, to give you an horror experience.

Ignore the hard edges, its a HD char so it won't be noticiable.
The flames are added through mugen codes.

The fireballs doesn't hits the char directly, just when the balls explodes.

Some of the ideas I gathered for now:

- Fatalities (still deciding if I will use or not)
- Spikes which hangs at the "sky" then fall on you.
- Small flamming skulls, which can be hit and it will flies back to the boss, damaging it. (Iced's idea)
- Spiked Pillars, spikes and anything that can hurt you from the ground.
- Other parts of the char, like big skeleton hands.

You can use Skeleton Hands, like the ones of Shinnok's Fatality fomr MK4 (Ps1, PC, N64 I think) you can already make those Fatalities into special moves.

The first fatality is a great skeleton clap killing the opponent, turn that into a special move, just clapping without killing.

The second fatality is a great hand who takes the opponent so hardly until he loses his head and then it sends it to the outworld. You can make the big hand takes the opponent and make him throw it away.

Nice ideas. The Shinnok one was already on my mind.

The fatalities won't work as a Mortal Kombat game, where you need to imput a command to perform it.
My idea is to make some moves to trigger an automatic fatality, so if the char have low life, it will die.

Nice, but I said to make Shinnok's Fatalities into Special Moves for the boss :)

I love the instant fatality gimmick, but I wouldn't use low life to trigger the fatal. It might be best to use a trigger like this inside of a certain attack.

triggerall = movehit
trigger1 =p2life=0
trigger1=MatchOver
;trigger1=P2Dist Y =0   (optional: leave off to trigger if opponent is in the air)
value = XXXXXX
persistent = 0

You might also want to consider adding in an AssertSpecial with a NoKoSlow flag into the -2 state so it looks more fluid. I'm definitely looking forward to playing against this Boss char and hopefully get to see a horn pummel fatality or death by fireball. Keep up the good work .:O:.

Just ran Ol' Bullseye again and your right, my bad. I could actually go alot deeper into this concept like having your Skull Boss chew up and spit out bones etc.. if you'd like. PM if you need my input, until then i'll just assume you know what to do :-j

Nice skull, man @^@ :D It have so many cracks that it asks to crumble into pieces and dust for death animation. I hope some evil laugh is in place >:D
I wonder will it look better with some kind of aura(for itself and anything it holds while it holds it) and glowing eyes, like castlevania's floating skulls or not :-?? Like maybe it's possessed or spirit of owner was too evil and hadn't left it or something.
That idea with spikes floating gave me other idea - if everything is skeleton-themed - why not use ribs for spikes and have some ribcage traps. Some ribs growing from ground or appearing from behind enemy and capturing him.
I dunno if he needs hands at all, he may have piece of giant bone and use it as baseball bat/boomerang and that'll be enough :-??

NICE!

About the sonds, right now he uses the same sound files from my Goliath char.

What if he could also summon a bunch of tiny flaming skulls that home in on the enemy like a missile, or even can do a few attacks on their own. Like they could hang around the enemy and do their own mini version of the big skull's attacks and they would need to be hit once or so to be killed.

Yes, it will be done. Those mini skulls is exactly what you could hit to make them fly back to the giant boss.

Also, the char name will be Lithmmormmorm
