Need Help Burning Mugen on DVD!
« on: November 17, 2011, 08:07:25 PM »
Now you guys are most likely looking at this topic and going to be like "wow, how stupid. this guy don't know how to do this" But i am having problems burning mugen on a dvd disk.

Reason why i wanna do this is because my current laptop is dying off and i am buying another one 2morrow (Reason why i am on now is because its on safemode). Plus i wanna be able to take my mugen disk with me for when ever i go to my friends house and they wanna play it with me since online is real laggy with teamviewer.

So if someone can please help i will really appreciate it. I use DVD-R and DVD-RW! 4.7gb.

Drag your MUGEN folder to your disk, make sure that it doesnt have anything on it first of all + the MUGEN's file size on disk is what you want to look at as well, cause if its over 4.7 gbs it wont work. Second, click burn files to disk, then it'll have an option either like a usb or like a cd or dvd, you want the cd or dvd option, cause i tried the usb option b4 and like a month later, my disk magically erases itself. Third, if I remember correctly, it'll have like an speed type option, pick whatever option suits you the best. Then just click next or finish depending on the option it gives you and then just wait for your disk to pop out.

I did all that before originally..and then at the speed part it won't even burn it. And my Mugen size is at 1.85gb. So i know its not the size...I am going to try it again now though just to make sure.

Like Ref said, it sounds like a PC specific issue. Also remember, when you're buring a data CD often you need to finalize the DVD after buring the data. usually this means right clicking on the disk in windows file explorer and telling it to finalize the disk.

Don't use the inbuilt windows burner.

Go online, download something called imgburn (it's free small and simple) and try that. Some hardware models have issues with the inbuilt windows 7 burning. And it sounds like that's what you're running because XP doesn't have DVD burning capability.
