A stage contest?

What would everyone think of a stage contest? It could run a bit like the Sprite contest, but with a few tweaks.

1. Time increase, maybe 3-4 weeks? Is that too little, or too much?
2. Voting on themes. The winner could pick 3 themes and they would be options for people to vote on, to try to make the themes ones that creators would want to make.

Any other suggestions? Who would actually be interested in this?

BTW when did the forum stop allowing polls?

So this way we will end up with a lots of edited stages for mugen as well as its a contest, if u mean released stage contest and not only concept for a stage

We tried something like this

Didn't do it this year, because it was kind of a hassle to keep up with stuff

Also half the contestants will drop anyway, I noticed that both times half the people that signed up droppped out without even trying xp

Yeah, but I'm hoping if its organized and such maybe people would participate.

I would think it would be stages that would be released, that way we can see how they work, not just static (or even animated) images.

Alright easy decider, post if you'd be willing to participate if this were the first contest theme:

Movie Locations

Make a stage based on any location in a movie, like the 'Hell' in Mortal Kombat or the Night Club in Kill Bill.

You must keep what you are doing a secret, and it cannot be a direct port from another game.

(I thought of that since I figured everyone has a movie they like and could make something from it)

If, lets say 4-5 people decide to participate, we can at least have the 1st and see how it goes from there.
