I think it's still one of the greatest Disney movies. Hell, still know people that were scarred by Mufasa's death since childhood.

Odd and random topic BUT I agree completely. I remember I had to FFW through the Stampede part as a kid, didn't want to see Mufasa die.. (Then an hour and a half later I would go play MK Trilogy, and somehow enjoy all the fatalities)

It is certainly one of, if not the best Disney movie.

i liked lion king the scene where mufasa gets trampled can probably still make my eyes sweat but i have a problem with the movie now after learning its a complete bite off of a japanese film

i know but the lion king specifically cannot just be a coincidence, they even do a side by side comparison of the characters and scenes that are the same. disney has done some really messed up stuff so i can't be surprised about them stealing ideas for a movie

Lion King is one of the greats. I dont see this topic as random. We where making fun of each other at work sunday by call each other different lion king characters.

Mufasa's death never bothered me. To be honest i disliked it as a kid cause it got boring. We thought it was funny. Sorry. And yes he understood the importance of that scene as a child but we new it was just a movie. Hey we cuddled with freddy and Jason as children.
