Whos getting MVC3?

Im getting it. I had mixed feelins at first blah- blah- blah. but i laugh when gamers on and offline act like they really dont wanna experience the game. Whether renting it. burning it or Buying it. I believe most are going to "Buy" it.

Im aware some folks dont like SF4. but i just wanna know whos getting it and why? do you think it will be fun? do u want to get it now because of certain chars you are seeing? Are you getting it because youre just that big of a fighting game fan? Or are you getting it because youre just a huge fan boy of the MVC series? Its all good just be honest.

I passed over on Blazblue CS because i felt it wasnt enough of a True sequel to buy with just a few new characters. i got a dose of the game doing gamefly one month but even then i didnt want it. Thats a huge statement coming from me cuz im a huge fighting game fan (i have a ton of FGs) and i loved the 1st BB. But this here MVC3 now is like yo...id be in denial if i didnt get it. some of the characters and content ive been reading and seeing about it now makes me want the d@mn game. I can care less about the chars i feel are stupid to be in the game. hell ill just whip on em with all the cool chars i see they put in i like and possibly coming later as DLC.

So post your confessions folks. Good or bad. No flames. we all are gamers with our own opinions and remember its only a game.

Note!!: No extra footage n stuff of the game needed. we have a thread for all that already. its just a yes or no in small detail if you are going to get it or not and why

Yeah I'm getting it. Ten years is a long time to wait for anything. A bunch of the people that say they aren't getting it because of ______ will be like "OMG This game is so awesome!" A week or two after it comes out. I've seen it too many times before.

I'll be getting it.. probably in the summer.. I have enough that Im paying for in the spring and early summer.. so maybe the late summer. yea.

I wasn't so sure since I'm kinda meh about the roster (even though I love seeing Deapool, Viewtiful Joe, and Thor in the game) but I decided that I will since I'm sure it's still a good game. Very glad it won't be as broken as MvC2 (I think)

Plus free DLC characters don't hurt (I'm getting the Special Edition version)

i'm getting it, why? because i'm a marvel fan and also i'm a capcom fighting game fan.... that's why i hate the new fighting system of this game... but in every MVC there's a fighting system change, right?

Meh, I can't afford it. Though if I could, I still wouldn't get it, because honestly MvC3 is a fantastic idea that's been poorly excuted. I blame Capcom's lazy art department and the inconsistent developers. The way I see it, MvC3 is a lot like Street Fighter 4 in the sense that it's a good idea with poor execution, but people overlook the flaws because of the decade's worth of hype. A game like MvC3 should bring something new to fighters or crossovers besides the air combo system. I'm not gonna waste my time anymore, I'll pass on MvC3, because Capcom's fighters are becoming disappointments.

Special Edition already paid for in full. Just waiting for it. I've been excited about this game from the get go, and can't wait to play it. I don't really mind the roster. I think some of the choices are a surprise, sure, but doesn't mean they'll suck. I'm most curious to play She-Hulk. Lot's of folks have been complaining that she's in. Taking the stance of: If Hulk's in there... there is no need for She-Hulk. Only.. She-Hulk isn't Hulk. Personalities and Fighting styles are completely different. She fights nothing like him. Hulks all about straight up brutality. She-Hulk fights with a bit more style and finesse. Very agile. Plus, they share no moves that I can see.

If I had one Con... it'd be the fact that none of the FF are there. Three games, and not one of them ever made it in. Personally I think that's kind of sad. I can live with it though. (Always DLC to consider.)

I can already tell this game is going to be a favorite of mine.

Im not...

Im lame and i dont have a PS3 or Xbox.. Just a couple Nintendo DSi's and my laptop. I am however entered into a local MvC3 tournament going down at the Gamestop in the next town over, it's like 10-15 mins from me..

They are having a 8:00pm all ages tournament followed by an 11:30pm "Before Midnight" release party. My good friend even took a week off of work just for the release, so chances are we will have an all nighter after party at his apartment, should be a fun week.

i really enjoyed MvC2 but yeah im kind of with everyone else, theres almost nothing in that game fightwise that i cant just make happen on mugen so why go out and buy it...just my thoughts on it...........isnt like Dormamu the only character in the game that isnt already made in mugen..im not posotive on that but i think so

That sounds real cool Apoc. well at least youll get a debute dose of the game in Tournament style.

I'm getting it. Not a big fan of MvC like I used to be when MvC2 was still hot in the arcades, but I'm interested in the new cast and game mechanics. I'm sure it's gonna be fun and I'll have a ball playing against others online. It'll hold me off until the games I really wanna get come out.

im definitely grabbing this baby!! after seeing the vids and hearing the talk, i'm ready for the competition that it brings. i'm just hoping that the tvc influence doesn't humble it too much. there's a lot of characters for just about everyone. and i was feeling how some of the characters in seemed like they were kinda a nod to the mugen community as well. come on now, no one at capcom satdown and was like "yo for real, let's put my man deadpool in " !!!

MvC3 is one of three games i'm geting in the next month.(bulletstorm & pokemon-black being the other two) i'll def be geting all the DLC that is realesed for it also.

I wonder if people can hear themselves they write "to" which means going TO the mall, but they meant to write "too" as in I'm going to the mall TOO.

I'm in, day 1.

Like a lot of us have said, 10 years was wait long enough and I refuse to by MvC2 a third time which is why I didn't get in on XBLA when it came out. This is going to be way different. I don't mind the roster so much because after playing TvC and having to learn new characters, I think that's what the spirit behind MvC3 is. Granted, there are a lot of returning characters that have been in plenty of other crossovers before, but actually LOOK at that roster. Aside from Ryu and Akuma, who else looks like they would have the same play style? That's what it's about, diversifying the playing field, and that is a good thing. I think that anyone buying MvC3 expecting it to be like MvC2 just because it's 3v3 is going to be sorely disappointed and I feel sorry for them in advance.

umm dude i was talking about like Character vs character wise, im just a massive newb at mugen creation so no i cant actually do that , but im guessing some of the seasond vets could possibly do that

Confession:

Im very disappointed in this game, but if it werent for the fact that we've waited so long for it, I probably wouldnt even bother. For me, this is Crapcom's last chance to do something right by me. If this game sucks as much as Street Fighter 4 and Super street fighter 4 does (which was a huge disappointment to me) then Im not going to ever buy another capcom game again unless they come out with MvC4. Hell, since I ordered the special edition, if I hate this game, it will be going on craigslist the very next day for $45 simply because I will be uber fed up with this company screwing me over and nots listening to its fans when we say there are things we want in this game (something that Midway doesnt do). I may even consider writing a letter expressing my frustration.

So in conclusion, I just hope its not a waste of money or doesnt suck that bad.
