kind of obvious imo but its interesting to see developers trying to push gaming as far as they can at least too bad its usually at the expense of our very shallow pockets.

Still i think both xbox n ps3 have more to give hardwarewise, ps2 was supposed to be at ts limit and then BAM final fantasy x, then once again with final fantasy xii, too bad squaresoft is getting kinda lazy lately, fps seem to be the ones pushing and pushing, perharps its due to fps being so limited gameplay-wise so they have to invest on the looks.

hey i like the wii it happens to be my favorite and i have all 3 and im gettin tired of fps games they really only focus on graphics i wish they would come out with more action adventure and rpgs but nowadays no1 really has the patience to play those i also love tht the fighting game scene is rising up at least thts 1 thing good happenin and i think they are pushing away from pc gaming because it is relatively easier to get them for free rather then it is to get a ps3 and 360 game for free

I'm a Pc gamer ,and I'm at the point where I have no choice but to consider getting a console to play games they won't, but should have released on the PC.

I believe too many individuals think they need a million dollar PC in order to play games on it, but that is largely inaccurate. The PS3 and Xbox360 are already at their maximum performance level, and it will only be a few years when they'll need to replace it (while I'll only have to replace my video card every 4-6 years).

i can feel that as well. I am not much tthe pc gamer as i am a console dude at large. have owned almost every one of em at some point. The pc is just devoid of my fav game genre, fighting games. I wish they would put them on Pc But i can also see why as peeps have given an example, free games dl.  and of course ya see peeps doing a whole lot of pirated stuff as well with pc as well as consoles as well via tho a mod. Now once i get my money right i got plans on getin me a gaming only pc rig. the more powerful the more money. plus Pc becomes outdated so fast and constantly have to upgrade to a new version just to work so video players. Like buyin a game to play a game depending on what kind of pc ya workin with. but i am sure the graphic for some of the Pc fighting games to come out would be way more easier to do plus could handle but again depends on ya graphics card and output. plus the occasional crashes. Console i seen have a seperate momentum cause if someone like my 13 year old daughter wants to use the pc i caqn just play my console without havin to wait for her to get off. so it kinda benefits to have both but then again how many folks will buy 2 same games for 2 sepereate systems in one house with how todays economy and money is. 60 bucks a game...even 70 in alo of cases. so ehhhh  .

Well while true you don't need a million dollar PC or even a 2 grand PC, depending on how old your parts on the PC are it varies from person to person. I basically had to buy a whole new PC since my old PC was a HP and there was little to no way to upgrade it, so me and a friend built me a new PC.

I doubt you just replace your VC every 4-6 years with the upgrades available for processors and RAM, etc. 6 years ago you had Intel P4s are processors, good luck on finding new games on high with that. I know upgrading a PC can be cheaper than a console, but unless you have a top of the line processor or you don't care about graphics, then I doubt you just upgrade your VC within that 4-6 year period.

I actually haven't updated by VC, processor, and Ram in roughly 3 years now (It'll be four when the new year comes), but my Pc can play any game (except for "Just Cause 2" which i need windows 7 or vista) that has came out. But there is really no reason to upgrade every time there is an update since videogames seem to have hit a stagant period where the graphics aren't advancing. However, when Crysis 3 comes out I defiantely need to upgrade since Crytek pushes the boundraies in terms of awesome graphics.

I will admit that the pc market doesn't do a great job of informing the public how cheap it can actually be to have a gaming pc.

But my reason I love my pc is because I can upgrade it like a car. Not to mention there are some crazy cases that people can have.

When it comes to graphics for ps2, I think the later Silent Hill games looked tons better then FFX. I'm getting a new pc later next year but that's because my current pc is a piece of crap. I can't do anything without it freezing.

Ill take your word for it cuz i dont follow that series, another good example of developers doing their best with what they have instead of demanding from players.

Man right now with the graphics gettin even better on consoles , its gonna be a graphics war between Pc and console . I love the asura wrath look and that new shooter VAnquish. So i can never count consoles out on stuff. I do like the MMORPG graphics of some games not all. But the shooters on PC? BANG HARD only problem with that is if they have too much stuff going on wih their servers like Lag , Load times, some of the maps suck, some frame rates suck too unless ya got a mad mean grphics card, which we just updated so of games i do have for pc , not many, look better.  mehh i guess its just which you prefer for which and what kind of lifestyle ya have as well.
