Error Message

Hey guys, so I was trying to play MUGEN Team mode, and after I was done picking my team, a error message popped up

assert failure in charsel.c line 3162

First of all, what does this mean/what did I do wrong

Second, how can I fix it? Please help ASAP because this is very important to me. Thanks a bunch guys  

EDIT:Now it's happening in single player mode! About 3 or 4 battles in, the game crashes with the same error message! Please help guys!

Have you got this in your mugen.cfg file?

[Arcade]
 ;Set to 0 for computer to choose color 1 if possible.
 ;Set to 1 for computer to randomly choose a color.
AI.RandomColor = 0

In that case you must change 0 by 1; or open each char def file and look if there is an 1 in the pals default section. If not you have to change it to 1:

pal.defaults =6 <---- wrong (winmugen will chrash)

pal.defaults =1 <------- right

if you search the forum for other posts about that error message you will find all the information you need.

its an error with that characters air file

whatever character you are using, look for a line that have

[Begin Action ####]

and if there is nothing under it, remove it and save.
