How do i make them transparent

Yeah i wanna make a sig showing who i play as mostly just because im bored. I have the sprites ripped from the characters that i wanna show but how do i add a background and how do i get rid of the pink background that surrounds the characters? I use photoshop.

Since the pics are already .pcx files they are indexed colors. So click Image, Color Table and click the eyedropper tool on the far right. Once it is selected click on the color that is in the way (usually that hot pink) and it should go away.

Okay thanks just one more question when i open up each picture they open in their own window how do i pull the sprites from the window into the one that has the background?

Click ctrl+a on the pic to select it all, then use the move tool (farthest up and right on the tool bar) and drag it into the other pic.
