Pretty good entries though not really liking how the last one counts as one smiley and not three. I get the whole thing of if they're all together on one pic it counts as one sprite but that's literally three different smileys. Also, isn't that your work on the Medieval Spawn smiley, DT.? Same for the Spidermew one, isn't it Spidermew's work.?

In any case, Carnage got my vote. Spidermew one would of got my vote if it were by itself.

Gotta say I dig the mad lantern one. The blood coming out of the mouth might be a little much, but that's just my opinion. Still got my vote. Good job to everyone though, they were all pretty good.

I would like to say, I did not enter this week. Im not good with smileys so ive been working on something for the world cup.

Here's the thing with the sprite contest. This competition was designed for fun. It was made for those of any level to enter & possibly even improve their skill from week to week. Not all of us have the same skill level & some of us improve slower than others. But I appreciate members of all skill levels enter this comp.

With that being said. Sure there may be an entry that used my Medieval Spawn's head. But the member did take the hand & sign & put it on him. For this week I am allowing something like that to be entered. because basically the member did turn them into emoticons. Now did as much thought & talent go into them as some of the other entries? Of course not & I expect the voting will show that.  The true winner that is totally original is still going to prevail.   

Yes the object was  for members to create something like this

              

For the voters, remember when you vote. You are really supposed to be voting for the sprite that is the best work. Not because it is your favorite character or something like that. Vote on the sprite which you think is the best every week. Best meaning, the most work went into it, the most talent, & the most original. Keep those 3 things in mind when voting & the best sprite will prevail every week.

I see your view on it, DT. Appreciate you explaining it and do understand. Just mentioned it as I thought using other people's work was against the rules but if you noticed it and it was all allowed, then that's all fine by me.

Yeah, I would like to try this again sometime, with 10 entries. That isn't too much to ask for, many of the comps get more than that.
