Is it any way to use Low res chars in a Hi-res stage without them looking bad?

Is it any way to use Low res chars in a Hi-res stage without them looking bad?
I used winmugen Plus, 'cause it acepts both Hi and Low res stages, but still the chars look pretty bad on it, so I had to return to Winmugen.
Is there anything I can do about it?

Nope, and there's nothing wrong with pixelated characters.

i play with the screen about 3/4 of my screen in a lower resolution..so you cant see the pixels.. the image just isnt as big
