Help me pimp out my Mugen!

So what's this topic about? Well, a recommendation topic for characters basically! Since I slaughtered my MUGEN ages ago (with rare crap that I don't know if I can find now, but there was a lot of excess garbage too), and with me recently getting a 1 Terrabyte External, I'm ready to grab the better versions of each character out there. If anyone can recommend me good characters, please do let me know what there is!



Also note that you probably don't have to worry about the Touhou characters, as I have basically every single one out there that I know of.

I say do what i do. start collecting.
of course get all the characters from official games

guilty gear
street fighter
king of fighters
melty blood
etc

then get you original and edit characters like Rikards works. get you self a nice screenpack selector and start making your folders organized.
I got a screenpack for each game, 1 for the characters i like (or one for fair characters) then 1 all the games combined (uber cheapness but fun).

I would post a pic of the screenpack so you can see the characters but the one at my friends house got all jacked somehow.

Yeah, what I'm doing is exactly what you're saying, though I'm trying to go for 1 of each type of character (aka 1 Ryu, 1 Kyo, etc), so as to not overload myself. Of course, I'll grab those that have special things (like Shocks and Midnight Blisses), but other than that, I'mma sticking to this.


I still have EVE Battle, so that's all good for me with that.


Stages, I don't know if I'll stock up on those or not yet. Gonna focus on characters first.

Ya thats what i want to do but that requires everyone to make a character under set rules and powers.
Thats why i tell people i want fairness. cant put a character in a screen pack that does 100 hit combos and not have a burst move or combo breaker. it wont work.

I told people once that when you make a character you should code it so that it can be easily changed between different play styles without interfering with the gameplay. (I.E. Capcom.cmd, snk.cmd, etc.)

Yeah, I like fairness as well, though I WILL take some cheap stuff (aka Sephiroth and the like) just to have fun with them, or to bust them up : p
