hi res vs low res stages ?

hi heres a good question does any one know what stuff i need to make a stage hi-res ?

tec,is the same thing as a basic stage whit doble jump effect when it comes to making one out of any image correct? except... the stage looks more detail  so how to i make that effect ?

for my stages i mean i loose some detail when it comes to making them pcx type in fighter factory yet most people have found a away around this ? so what is it ?

Well.. lo-res stages can have the higher jump effects... like say a stage has a sky.. you can take that sprite.. increase the heigth of it, and put it back in.. and you got yourself a "taller" stage...

Hi-res stages CAN BE lo-res stages, just modified to look more real with more detail.. it's kinda like how you watch a movie... if you watch it on a normal TV.. it's going to look standard.. but if you have a flat screen TV or something, you can watch hi-def movies which give you more detail, quality, and realisticsy in the end...

Hope that helps.. as for making them.. I've only made one.. so.. I'm not that experienced with it.. wait for more comments.. maybe someone else can help ya out.

Also, instead of saving sprites in 256 colors (8-bit) pcx files.. you can save them as 24 colored pcx files... which makes it look much better...
