The Terminator from T2
Tifa Lockhart (because she's almost always been there for Cloud, like that time when Cloud was in a coma)
Chun-Li (I like how she went to no end to avenge her fathers death)
The Punisher (He's the most realistic comic hero that Marvel has).
Jimmy Lee (Him being the Shadow Boss in the NES version wasn't canon, that wasn't how it was in the arcade version)

1) The Sentry
A classic Marvel hero, who wasn't even really a classic because he was invented in the 21st centry, but who cares, let's rewrite the past and in the mean time, add the coolest New Avenger. For every life the Sentry saves, his alter persona of the Void destroys another. How's that for a dark hero concept Spawn!


2) The X-Men
I know this is a cheap one but it's all or nothing. I don't want the New Orleans adventures of Gambit or time traveling Cyclops and Phoenix, I want the team as a whole. Astonishing X-men was such a fun storyline with the right characters. And the X-men who stay X-men for long term... that's even better.


3) Donatello
He's the smart one.


4) Spider-man
As long as they stop cloneing and rebooting good ol Spidey then all is right with the world. Just get him back as a school teacher, trying to overcome the registration act and I'll be happy.


5) Batman
I admit, it was the 1989 movie that really got me stuck on Batman, followed by the blocky art of the animated series. Break his back, blow up his sidekick, hook him up with Katie Holmes or not, Batman is the best DC has to offer. Oh wait, is he DC, let's scratch him off the list then.


6) The Maxx
The Maxx makes me happy. Kind of like how listening to Boys for Pele or Pretty Hate Machine makes me happy. There is just a special spot in my heart for this series.

the third one, but the one i particularly like a lot.

he was my childhood heRO but i stopped to read his book after the clone saga, and when i came back with civil war, i topped after one more day.

Bruce Lee
Ok, so he's not a character, but I have to put him as my #1 hero of all time. I have a deep admiration for anyone who triumphs over adversity, and he was also a brilliant philosopher. The fact that he created his own martial arts style and knew how to kick some serious @$$ doesn't hurt, either.

Batman
Do I really need to explain this one? He's the friggin' Batman!

#3:
Optimus Prime
I lived and breathed Transformers as a kid. If you looking for a leader and a hero, you can't do much better than Prime.

#4 & 5:
Hulk & Wolverine
I like these two for pretty much the same reasons. They're both nearly unstoppable, and both struggle (often unsuccessfully) to focus their rage and strength on something positive. They'd probably both be happier if they could just be left alone, but the very nature of what they are doesn't allow it.

Storm
What can I say, I like tough, angry women. I'm also a sucker for exotic accents, and have a bit of a weakness for girls with a troubled upbringing (I really need to learn to leave that part out of the real women in my life, but I digress). If she were a brunette, Storm would probably be my ideal woman....

Cloud Strife
I really to relate to this guy. Brooding and distant when things are quiet, but can't be stopped when he's pushed up against the wall. The people he cares about are always first on his mind, even if he doesn't always show it.

Han Solo
I've always loved Han's sarcastic remarks, and his do-or-die attitude. He accomplishes great things using nothing but his wits, without any special powers or gizmos.
Oh yeah, he's nailing Princess Leia. That qualifies him as a hero right there.
