A little question

How do you guys normally make animated gifs?
Do you use any specific software?Because i'm trying to make an avatar out of three i have,and i tested a shareware soft,but didn't work as expected

is it for those megaman avi's we made? if it is i'll animate it. but we might have to redo them cuz we added the shadow effect on them.
