how do i add life bars?

yeah i cant even believe im asking this either but i never figured this out and i just kept whatever lifebars where in the screen pack but id like some new ones so if you can help me out itd be much apreciated

fight.sff, fight.def and fight.snd go inside the data folder, the fonts go into the font folder unless it is specified otherwise.
