does anyone know how to get the gameshark codes to work in pokemon firered/leafgreen roms? or how to even put them in the emulator? i am totally lost

yeah...under tools or options in the Visual Boy Advance emulator,you have an option for Gameshark codes
You just need to add a new one,copy and paste it and make sure there's a checkmark activating it
