So im adding something similar to sf4 focus attack/guard attack to some of my characters but i want to get more info, since the game is in beta testin,its not ez to research on it so heres me asking, so far what the lil research has obtained is the following, could be wrong in some places tough
-You activate focus attack (press mid punch+ mid kick)
-During it you gain super armor, can resist ONE attack of whatever type xcept super/hyper (im not sure when the period of superarmor starts and ends exactly, fill in plz) and apparently take no damage from said attack
-During charge it "marks" your lifebar and if u are hit twice during it (lose focus) you take that ammount of damage plus the damage from the second attack itself
-No charge results in a guardable strong attack with not too much stuntime and p2 recovers
-Full charge results in an unguardable attack with a very long stuntime and p2 falls to the ground (not sure if theres a mid charge, fill in plz)
-Air enemies are knocked out by both versions sending them higher and further depending on the charge, they fall pretty slow too
-Can be cancelled into walk or dodge during charge
-Can be cancelled from anything (?) upon impact, im not sure on cancelling contions but i think ive seen pretty much any attack cancelled into focus attack, this is very important so i can really use some help here
-Can be cancelled into anything (?) same problem as b4, im not sure and sometimes i think it cant be cancelled at all it just has very little recovery time after using it so u can just keep goin b4 enemy recovers/falls
Now here are some questions for peeps who have played and gotten good at it or practiced a lot or got a good eye for vids too Smiley
1: can they resist 1 attack as soon as they start the move or does it have some startup time b4 it gains super armor
2:the moves that can be cancelled into guard attack, is it upon movecontact or at any moment with no need of contact?
3:same for the moves guard attack can be cancelled into, is it upon impact or at any point
4:whats poweradd behaviour? does it add any upon charge or impact, does it take any?
5:what timing would u say it takes to charge it, weakest version, mid version and max version??
6:can super and hyper attacks really be cancceled into it??
7:this info leads me to think u can just use hp>guardattack>hp>guardattack or a special move instead of hp, how does it limit such things??
