depp as the riddler.....it's just a speculation, no one confirmed this yet and even depp didn't know about it when he heard that he was cast as the riddler but he said it would be a fun role to play.

as far as he joker goes ledger was cast for 2 more batman movies so he joker was coming back in the next move, but ledger's passing changed everything cus he did a very good job playing the joker so a joker re cast was out of the question....that's why they removed the joker from the upcoming story and now they are forced to change the it.
the new movie must at least be equal to the dark knight so bringing depp as the riddler would be great imo.
he can put the riddler in a very serious dark mod and he has what it takes to rival ledger's performance.

as for the penguin i don't think he fits...they will probably use a female Villain this time, maybe catwoman or something.

imo if they decide to bring the joker back and continue the story then i think that Daniel Day Lewis will be a good choice for the role.

i don't really hope for catwoman to be in it myself but that's what will probably happen
still i prefer more story than just action so i'm hoping for the riddler.

i disagree with the realistic part.  in fact i fuc*ing DISAGREE!  i hate how these days REALISTIC is what everyone wants.  its a comic book super hero theres nothing realistic about that.  if batman was realistic he wouldnt be wearing a bat suit, all the crooks would jus laugh at him.  yes i understand some things from the comics brought to the big screen would be corny but its gone to the point were its too far, batman doenst have a batcave he has a white room, that isnt cool, but u can say thats realistic.  which in this case it has gone towards negative.

also when it comes to realistic i bet there jus gonna give the riddler a plain buisness suit with a green tie and call him the riddler, how plain and boring is that. i like to see lots of green and lots of question marks........but to audiences that isnt REAL ENOUGH

I like where your coming from man, i agree with you to a certain point. The realistic  thing is good but it does kill some of the spark. From the way you Put it im on the fence when it comes to the way i want to c the next batman moive done. I want it realistic like the dark knight but there are things that are lost cause of that.

dude did u even pay attention to wat da hell bruce and alfred were tlkin about?!?!?!? they had da whole white room thing cuz the construction on wayne manor wasn't finished yet and there's gonna be a batcave in part 3 cuz dey mentioned it in da 1st film and now dat i think about theres probly gonna be a "real" batmobile in da film

well I understand what you are saying but when the movie becomes to unrealistic we get batman movies like batman forever(which was not bad) and batman & robin(which was bad)..but even though batman is a "comic book super hero" he has no superpowers and neither do the villians that he fights so that is where the "everyone wants a realistic batman" comes from cause well he is not super human he is just a guy with of money
